@jaxterdeadly1 i dont know if you can do this on audacity but on goldwave you copy section with this 'robot noise' and use it on clipboard in noise reduction, play with percentage on first and second removals for best result

@LeadersOfTheMislead Yes, yes you can. That was one of the first things I messed with when I first downloaded it. You just highlight the area where you want the pitch to change & go to "Effects" & "Change Pitch". It goes by Fs & A's & A#s & all that jazz so it really helps if you're familiar with music theory. Or just mess around with it until you get what you want. :) I know it's been a month since you've asked this & probably found your answer, but, if not, there you go. :D Lol ♥

@mbasketcballb okay, if there is a really loud part. select the section and use equalizer and bring it down a bit, to the level that suits you. the light whole track and select normalize and press ok.

@mbasketcballb okay so if you play the track and its really loud, go to the equalizer, highlight the section thts too loud, bring the equalizer down a bit, the go, highlight the whole track, select normalize in effects, and lick ok. then your track will be normalized

instead of going to amplify you can go to equalize, then normalize. its easyer than using amplify, then if its still not loud enough. highlight it all then move equalizer up. im experienced with audacity.

I always get this from my electric guitar if it's too close to the computer monitor. A mic shouldn't be anything like as bad but it's one possible source.

Is the mic lead going near anything that could be causing interference (transformer, TV, etc)? If so, moving it or using a better-shielded lead may help.

On my laptop, the built-in mic records the speaker output (i.e. you get feedback), so putting in headphones, causing the speakers to mute, helps me.

Great stuff! the main problem I have is the noise from the PC fans, which are soemtimes quite audible; maybe I should buy a screen for the mic; I believe you can now get a condensor mic with its own back shield which might help.

You need to open a new one everytime you record your voice or they will overlap and save them if youwant to keep them, they overlap cus like if you want to put an instrumental over your voice or music

@patrick34page go to google and search for gsnap. then you will need to install it so if you are on a windows computer go to my computer>program files>audacity>plugins then paste the "GSnap.dll" file into it. you will find this file when you un zip the gsnap download. then search gsnap settings on youtube and click the second one. then go into the description and set your gsnap to that then save it as autotune. record your audio and have fun! hope this helped :)

Instead of playing around with it, which can be a little time-consuming, I enter a small db level, such as 0.5, hit OK, and then hit Ctrl+R to repeat it until it's at the level I want
