Crime is some of the lowest in the world. As they say "low crime doesn't mean no crime" so you should take the same precautions as back home.

As so many people cram into the trains then some guys do take advantage of that. As the overall crime is so low people are really cracking down on this and there are now "women only" cars on many train lines!

Museums usually don't let me film inside, but there's a lot of food videos on my youtube channel.

There are quite a few restaurants where they have super foods to eat and you get a photo on the wall. One place in Aomori has a chilli ramen contest where they poor so much chilli powder into the ramen soup. If you eat it you get a polaroid on the wall!
