Remember Animorphs?

I think someone needs to do a reboot of Animorphs with today's' technology in special affects they wouldn't even need live animals to have all the hassles of training them for the shows, they could just capture live shots and c.g. them into the shows. I'd like to see someone redo Animorphs, money wouldn't be a problem on affects, when I have literally seen shows use way more on budget for less affects. I would love seeing that, it could still be an original concept idea depending how it's done 2

I know i remember back when i was like 4 or 5 and i was OBSESSED with the tv show. But i only saw maybe 4 episodes and i read some books. then i had forgotten all about it and now i remembered it and im watching them NON-STOP!!! I am on season 2 episode 1 Face Off (3) but i cant find it anywhere online... Its making me mad.. Do you know a good website or where i can buy the VHS at??? Ohhhh and i have a vivid imagination and im like i want to be a Animorph bad! They should make 2011-2012 series!!

@solidkwon Yep, there was a tv show...it wasn't exactly amazing lol, and obviously the books are WAY better, but it was still animorphs. I found all the episodes here on youtube, but I don't know if they're still up or not. there's also a few websites dedicated to animorphs that might have the episodes, if you really wanted to watch them.

That's so crazy. i guess I should check it out sometime. I'm not expecting it to be much tho. Books adapted into tv series for teens... usually turn out so great. I should still have good laughs watching it tho.

Animorphs was the bomb but the end made me see sad. They all fucking died ffs!!!!! Well they didn't say that for certain but it was implied. I know this sounds strange but some of the plot in the Animorphs still makes me sad today when I think about it. Mainly the fact that they all bloody died but also the way elfangor left the love of his life and his own son and neither of them where left with any knowledge of him. They both went through so much together. It make me sad.

@antonyneal Yeah, I know. They were really tragic books, especially the end. The whole elfangor situation was too, that book about him was so sad, at the end they just wiped everybody's memory, so it was like he never existed at all. Sadness.

@antonyneal Umm, they don't ALL die! SPOILER ALERT!!!!!! Only Rachel dies and the ending to book 54 is amibiguous, leaving the reader to decide what happens to Jake, Marco, Tobias, and Ax. And yes, I know in the book they find out that Ax got assimilated by The One but that does not necessarily means he's dead. For all we know, he could've just been trapped since we know virtually nothing about The One. (It is a scifi series ya know! Anything can happen! lol)

Tobias' actor, Christopher Ralph was 22 when they shot Animorphs, not 15. so no need to feel like a pedo. heheh. He was actually the oldest of the cast. Brooke Nevin (Rachel) was the youngest at 16.

@DITTOFAN04 Lol, when i was younger i loved cassie cuz i thought it was cool how into animals she was, but after i read the last book i hated her. Looking back I really like Tobias' character and I was a fan of Jake, but I also highly appreciate Rachel's ability to kick ass, lol i don't think i could pick just one favorite out of them. And Ax was simply hilarious i remember loling at some of the things he would do while I was reading.

Animorphs books are pretty damn good. I read the books when I was 10 n I never finished. But when I came across the TV series 8 years later I checked it out n my 10 year old self that read the books started crying :( They gotta remake the TV series. N stop make it good. I mean, it would be good if someone made it themselves at home but...well...for a regular TV show i was thinking, Damn, it looks like someone gave someone 10 bux and said, "Make a TV show" :P

lol, yeah it def was not the best tv show i've seen, but personally for me it was just majorly reminiscent, which was why i liked them so much. i totally agree that the effects were terrible & the show in general was laughable at times, but it was still animorphs & it reminded me of the books. and it would be awesome if they remade the tv series & actually did a good job! i'd be super excited!

Yeah animorphs was a pretty kickass series. It's cool that they got you into reading & writing!

And yeah, the show wasn't great quality, but they're kinda fun to look back on & remember the series with.

I'll def check out some of your vids though, when i get the time.

I used to love the books too, I only got to the one where Marco and his mother were reunited then I stopped I kinda out grew them (a new version of the series that would appeal more to the 18-25 age group would be cool.)

I only saw a few episodes of the show but looking back on it, it wasn't that impressive.

Had the show aired on a mainstream network (NBC, CBS, ABC, or FOX) a it might have done better (not to mention it would have a bigger budget which would mean better effects)

yeah, i never really grew out of them cause the last one came out when i was like in 6th grade, but i hear what ya mean.

the show wasn't great quality, but i had never seen it before so it was cool to go back & watch them, just for the heck of it. they def. could have used better effects though, lol

YES!! I pretty much just went through the same thing! I freakin loved the Animorphs as a kid. My library was the same way. I had to order the books that they were missing. Because it took so long to order them, I stopped reading them around like book 39. I really wished I had finished the series! I tried reading them again because i forgot so much stuff. Now I'am pissed that I never finished them! Sweet vid!

But yeah, I totally understand what you mean, I'm trying to reread them, there's a site where they're all online that I could give you if your interested, but I don't really have a lot of time to devote to rediscovering animorphs unfortunately :(
