Since I'm planning to move to Japan eventually (my fiancee is majoring in Japanese at university and my company has a Tokyo branch), I'm doing research, watching videos of other expatriates in Japan, and learning what to expect. I think this is every potential immigrant's responsibility. It's common sense, really. Thanks for your amazing videos. They're entertaining and useful for this kind of research. :D
It's true. Why go to a country and then complain about it (or, in this case, why complain about a country he never seems to have visited int he first place). I live in San Francisco, one of the biggest "racial melting pots" in the United States, and I hear the same types of complaints from immigrants often. They complain about SF culture, American culture, etc. But I have to wonder why they came here, then? If it's so bad, why come? I welcome the diversity, just not the lack of perspective. :\

The world is interconnecting more and more everyday. leading to a point where a global community will be self-evident. Countries practicing policies that lead to conflict between different nationalities will destabilize this society. Needless to say, all governments and media right now propagate differences not only with those abroad, but between people domestically also. To reach a point where we can apply the scientific method to society we need to actually be aware of the necessity to do so.
I won't even try to explain to you the various types of logical fallacy you have made in this video, because it is likely that if you can use them comfortably you will not be able to properly understand the explanation, and would outright reject them. Social structures should be measured by their measures of cohesion, saying get out or "It's their country" etc. People like you slow the application of the scientific method to society by propagating this sort of illogical thinking.

Also, when have Asians ever colonize or "conquer" Africa? Never. Whites have been conquered by whites and Asians and Asians by other Asians and whites, Eurasia is one land mass, so it isn't difficult to go from Asia to Europe.
Africa is separate, although some parts of the Middle East (Asia) like Yemen and other countries are close by but not connected. But Africans have conquered each other. Ethiopia is a country that has never been colonized and has occupied Egypt for a century before.
My point is that it doesn't matter who conquered who - race isn't the only difference between people and it's not a good indicator to use when deciding the worth of a person. There are definitely legitimate reasons to not let you into an (adult, or otherwise questionable) establishment if you cannot understand Japanese. These cases seem far more common than the random and crazy "gaijin cause trouble so I'm not letting you in" excuse. But those cases definitely exist, and people are denied entry to many places because of their skin colour.
While I see your point that he is being ignorant, there is actually some REAL racism in Japan like the situation in Otaru City, Hokkaido. While these situations may be not be common, they do exist and are racial discrimination.
While it might be "their country", nobody should be able to "do whatever they want" if they infringe on another's rights.

i've actually seen your videos before, and they're pretty good when you were in japan with your host family. i'm a japanese student too, and some of my classmates can't say some words correctly, but should i be arrogant about it if i can say it? no. how are you gonna go out in real life with this attitude? remember, it's just youtube. you're not a superstar yet. i don't mean to be rude, but just because your really good in japanese doesn't mean everyone in the world is good...

I agree with many of the points. I just to say. Are military presents there is needed. We stabilize the country because if Japan were to have a war with there own armies. China and North Korean would get hostile. A larger world war would start. Japan have now pacifist view on war. I have a grandfather who was imperial army. I almost got his leg cut off in WWII. Their country and their rules.

Also, when have Asians ever colonize or "conquer" Africa? Never. Whites have been conquered by whites and Asians and Asians by other Asians and whites, Eurasia is one land mass, so it isn't difficult to go from Asia to Europe.
Africa is separate, although some parts of the Middle East (Asia) like Yemen and other countries are close by but not connected. But Africans have conquered each other. Ethiopia is a country that has never been colonized and has occupied Egypt for a century before.

There are definitely legitimate reasons to not let you into an (adult, or otherwise questionable) establishment if you cannot understand Japanese. These cases seem far more common than the random and crazy "gaijin cause trouble so I'm not letting you in" excuse. But those cases definitely exist, and people are denied entry to many places because of their skin colour.

I think people complain because AkitaTom... well if racism or discrimination is less visible in Japan it would make Japan more favorable to foreign business and in a global economy we have today it is important that a nation treats the global community with respect when they visit for business or recreation.

I agree with many of the points. I just to say. Are military presents there is needed. We stabilize the country because if Japan were to have a war with there own armies. China and North Korean would get hostile. A larger world war would start. Japan have now pacifist view on war. I have a grandfather who was imperial army. I almost got his leg cut off in WWII. Their country and their rules.
