  • Blanche bettah sang

  • When she gonna come out with a CD?! Nd you kno i can tell she wuz givin a show becuz when evr Blanche is really is ministering the house is just blew 2 peices nd God really shows up.

  • I love how christians worship the singer and not god. When your in a church like this one and people put their hands in the air because the song is so good.....You almost want to let them know- "pssst, did you know your actually worshiping this singer and not god?"

  • @Jeffersonwazright I know what you mean... but, when Christians raise their hands in the air they aren't worshipping the singer but are raising hands as a sign of surrender to God. I can see how one on the outside could be confused by what they see though.

  • @Humbler25 I really have to disagree with you. I strongly think that its that they are so moved by the singers talent that they think it is spiritual- sort of like Yoga, or meditation or other forms of spiritual feelingness. I believe they think it is surrender to god but its no different that a meditative feeling.

  • @Jeffersonwazright The singers are only leading the people in worship though, they are all worshiping for an audience of one. the people who raise their hands and those on stage are all singing to God, not man.

  • @Humbler25 So then where was the spirit before the singing starting. Just absent? Was it waiting outside until the singing started to fill people with itself? This all doesnt make sence. That a god would be so vain as to wait until music comes on to be one with its creation, that he forces to worship or live eternally in torment. Or we could take the easy, sane conclusion and just say that YES, THERE IS PROOF that the brain lights up when it feels any sort of spirituality. Great voice, buddha,et

  • @Jeffersonwazright has nothing to do with the brain lighting or the spirit entering. One meaning of raised hands is to bless God, In Psalm 63 the psalmist says he raises his hands to bless God. This symbolizes both gratefulness and joy for the blessings God has given. Indeed, many of the psalms indicate that hands are raised in song and prayer to show thankfulness and joy for God's great works (cf., Psalms 134, 141). The raising of hands for this purpose is common during songs of praise.

  • @Humbler25 Yea, because you get a high from the spiritual feeling. You christians dont go around lifting your hands up at any other time.

  • @Jeffersonwazright You expect Christians to walk around with raised hands all day? Hands are raised during prayer and worship and It has nothing to do with a spiritual feeling. "I stretch out my hands to you; my soul thirsts for you like a parched land" (Psalm 143.6). Raised hands suggest a reaching out for God's presence, blessing, comfort, or strength. Often, this meaning is seen during prayer. Funny how you try to debate this, but have no understanding of it at all.

  • @Humbler25 Its funny to me how you try to debate this with a bible verse and not observable facts, data, or research.....maybe even the scientific method.....Nope, humbler has- it says so in the Bible.....

  • @Jeffersonwazright Why wouldn't I use a Bible verse to try and explain something that happens during worship to give you an understanding of why people raise their hands and what it means. It's meaning goes back to Biblical times. You can't be so dense as to not understand that, can you? Your trying to debate the meaning of raising of hands with absolutely no knowledge of the practice. Fine, stay ignorant of it then so you can draw your own foolish conclusions. Your choice!

  • @Humbler25 Humbler. There is such a thing as the scientific method that really works quite well. You see, the modern way of finding out why and how things work is to observe a thing over and over and then come up with a theory or conclusion as to its reason. I assure you it is not correct in the beginning (usually) but eventually it is correct.....You can do this with people in church putting their hands in the air and there is scientific proof as to why they do it. They are having a brain high

  • @Jeffersonwazright I'm well aware of the scientific method and when used properly it does work quite well. The scientific method though, has absolutely nothing to do with the reason why people put their hands in the air during worship. The best way to find out why a person does something is to ask them. If you'd take the time to do that, you'd find out that what I've been saying regarding their reasons is accurate. It's not so they can get a brain high, even if one does occur during worship

  • @Humbler25 I didnt say it had anything to do with why people worship a god. I was saying that you can tell why they do it with the scientific method.....through observation and fact finding. And science has discovered that humans get a natural high through spiritual experience- it may or may not have anything to do with an imaginary god.

  • @Jeffersonwazright Well then, you clearly haven't found any facts regarding why people raise hands in worship, so you just made up your own reasons. If you had done any fact finding, observations, or interviews you'd know that I've been correct in what I've told you. Any "high" people get, is not one of the reasons people raise their hands. whether or not they get a "high is irrelevant. Worship is singing praise to God and raised hands is symbolic. What a person feels isn't part of the equation

  • @Humbler25 Raising of the hands is the same thing in christianity as the buddhist putting his index finger to his thumb in meditation. It enhances the spiritual high....thus- the people in the audience are worshiping themselves or the singer, not god.

  • @Jeffersonwazright worship is the act of expressing reverence to a divine or supernatural being. When one is singing praises or lifting hands they are doing so in worship to God, and it has absolutely nothing to do with themselves. The singer and the audience are all singing praises to God, not themselves. Any "high" they may feel is irrelevant to the act of worship and doesn't change whom is the subject of worship.

  • @Humbler25 They cant be worshiping god. They have never seen him or met him or heard him. They do not know he exists.

  • @Jeffersonwazright Yes, they can! Maybe they know that God exists due to his creation. Every creation needs a creator. Let me guess your argument "then who created God" I said every creation needs a creator, if God isn't a creation he doesn't need a creator. You believe all came from nothing, I admire your faith! Also perhaps God revealed himself at times through history that has been recorded in scripture.

  • @Humbler25 Fine....Then earth isnt a creation. Its just earth. There is no evidence that it was created or is created- just like your god. Its just always been here from one moment in time. The difference is there is evidence for the earth- none for your god. You creationists always walk right into that failed argument. If anything is your creationist god it was gravity- not a thinking being. The Universe suggests that there was no plan behind the start.

  • @Jeffersonwazright Sure, there is evidence for the earth, but zero evidence that the earth has always been here. What a silly argument. Mass, matter, and energy don't just pop into existance. The earth being here, is evidence for God. The universe cries out design!

So clearly, people know exactly what they are worshipping, you may not agree with what they believe but are clearly not worshipping themselves or man, but the God they know to be true.

  • @Humbler25 hahahha. There is also zero evidence that god has always been here. So your going to just say you win huh? Because you are a creationist=- your argument wins right? You see, this nonsence is why the academic world doesnt let I.D. into schools- because its bullshit religion. Just because you guys want there to be a god of the gaps, you think there is. I will come to the middle with you ok..I am willing to agree that there may be a god if it is the Sun. So sure- the sun could be god

  • @Jeffersonwazright It is dishonest for you to say there isn't any evidence. You may say that you arent convinced by the evidence, but not that there isn't any. ID is not religion nor does it endorse a religion. If you knew anything about ID, you would know that, that's true.

  • @Humbler25 I was a studious christian for many years. I know much about I.D. It is pretty much religion. It is religion trying to butt in on science. For thousands of years religion ruled the world with its metaphysical iron fist and now that technology is doing more amazing things than Jesus or Muhammad, you guys are trying to stay relevant.....Your people are fading away Humbler...time to fade away. Time to realize the interenet is more magical than water into wine and more powerfull than

  • @Jeffersonwazright If you knew about ID, than you would know that it isn't religion and doesn't make any claim on who or what the designer is. The internet is not a miracle nor is it magical at all. When the internet is able to raise a person from the dead after being buried, let me know. I won't hold my breath.

  • @Humbler25 Ever heard of heart transplant? We don’t even have to wait until they die. We are one step ahead of Jesus now-------and no, Lazarus did not get immortality from Jesus....just a few more years. Not to mention the story is complete fiction anyways.

We just found another planet in the "Goldilocks planet" zone. Its called Gliese 581 and it appears to have life sustaining elements....I.D taking another hit because I.D thinks we are the only Goldilocks planet.

  • @Jeffersonwazright sure I've heard of a heart transplant... Big deal... Jesus doesn't even need to operate, we're a far cry from doing anything that Jesus did and we still can't raise a man that's been dead and buried.

No planet has been proven to have life, just because a planet appears to be in the right zone, doesn't make it likely to have life. There is so much more needed to support life. Even if a planet did have life, it would take anything away from ID. The universe cries out design

  • @Humbler25 You know what looks like I.D to me Humbler? An unfathomably large universe full of nothing and emptiness. And life on an unfathomably small section of it....that looks like design to me....not random chance or unknown origins…… Yep. When I look at an empty universe that to me say purpose. Sure, some may think that if one small section is good enough for life- shoot, maybe other worlds should have life and intelligence too….but not me- Darwinism is stupid because I’m religious.

  • @Jeffersonwazright Your right, darwinism is stupid... but your religiousness would have nothing to do with that.

The universe cries out design! If you believe all this came to be by random chance, you have far more faith than I.

  • @Humbler25 Whatever you say religion guy...why is it that you IDers always have christianity too? Funny how that works out that every time an IDer exists, he is also a christian. Almost like they are synonymous or something. Whatever you guys have to do to keep up with science- have at it.

  • @Jeffersonwazright How do you know all IDers are Christians, what is your data? You don't have any, do you? Because, in fact, you would be wrong! But, that wouldn't be the first time now, would it?

  • @Humbler25 How about you let me know when you find a non-theist I.D backer....Don’t take my word for it. Find out yourself. Each time you hear someone talk about ID just say "oh ugh, by the way, are you affiliated with any religion?" The answer will then be "YES" each time. It’s no mystery to any thinking fucking person on this planet earth that ID is something the religious came up with because they were afraid, yes afraid, of Evolution by means of Natural Selection..and they should be afraid.

  • @Jeffersonwazright Hah, you just moved the goalpost - I said all IDers weren't Christians, not that they weren't theist. Some I've spoken too aren't affiliated with any religion.

I was agreeing with your comment about darwinism being stupid... you said it first, LOL!

  • @Humbler25 Oh Darwinism is stupid huh...Which books have you read on the matter? Because I have read one by Phillip Johnson- the most well known anti-evolution/pro ID guy out there. Oh, and I have already read The Language of God by Francis Collins- the most well known Christian evolution backer...so which evolution texts have you read Humbler? How is darwinism stupid?

  • @Humbler25 the tower of babel.

  • @Humbler25 oh wait, there is a way we can prove that the Sun is not eternal through math....my bad. The Sun is not god....How about we call god a magical rock that has not interest in creation other than the start......This magical rock is god. All it does is float around space and bumping into other rocks....so sure, that rock god may exist.

  • @Humbler25 Or maybe god killed itself after he created everything....maybe there is no god but there once was???? Sure- I suppose that TOO may be true.....or, while we are here...Maybe I am god and I just forgot that I was god....Also possible.
