It took me about three gigs to click that when John announced it was Claires birthday it might not be her actual birthday. This support set shows them at about half power, but it's still better than most bands at full throttle. Would have killed for them to stay on all night and tf with sleater-kinney. Wrong band headlined for sure and to their credit s-k kind of knew it. Not that I don't like s-k. I just love the Yummy Fur unmeasurably more.

They played with S.K. at the 13th Note Club on 31 August 1999 and The Yummy Fur played one of the best gigs I've ever seen. They split up a few months later.
