I haven't seen the movie, and i'm glad I haven't. From all these videos I've seen and what i've heard people say, looks like it's horrible like the Percy Jackson movie.
This is so great! The music was a little loud at the end (drowned out dialogue), but nicely done. ^.^ I do disagree that we should be 'screwing' M. Knight, even if he did butcher the story and my favorite character ever. It doesn't make us any better than him if we do that....although I am super angry and think him far-fetched to think that he can make a sequel to that monstrosity. -___-

The movie was kinda ok in my opinion, The only thing I couldn't stand was the pronunciation of the names and Aang's reasoning for running away. If the Avatar couldn't have had a family, Zuko wouldn't be alive.

@teXasDolly05 Well in comparison to where the movie's source came from yes it's bad. More so the shots the movie was taken in were bad it didn't change half the time, the dialougue wasn't good, and the acting was worse. The actors could've done better under a different script probably. I'm the actors are bad because they most likely have potential to better if the story was written better, and the movie was directed differently. Just giving an opinion, I respect yours as well. :)

Night made up his own version of Avatar: The Last Airbender. He did not take the story of Mike & Bryan. He wanted his own story. He took some ideas from the story which Mike and Bryan wrote and wrote a new story, his own story and renamed it just " The last airbender" and left "Avatar" out. He changed the title. So it ended up in a big mess because he did not take the story and full title of Mike & Bryan.
Actually he was legally forced to leave out the "Avatar" because it conflicted with the title of James Cameron's Avatar movie. But yeah, this movie didn't match the series.

i personally didn't watch the whole movie,but i wasn't even able to enjoy the previews on tv.i just don't think the movie was really necessary.
but again people have started arguing.people who don't like the movie have their opinion,but they should really not flame the others who enjoyed it.

@Dzubur93 first, the fans went to see it, hoping it would be good. like me. then those people like me warned other fans who didn't go see it at opening for whatever reason, to NOT go see it. then we told them all the things that were wrong with it. they didn't believe us because NOTHING could be that bad. right? RIGHT?! wrong... so then they warn others and same reaction. it became shock value and i hate. that was the only movie that as soon as it came on i was like "wait... something is wrong"

Lol, that was kinda mean but I agree that movie sucked big time. Definitely the worst movie he's ever made(I like some of his other movies). He said he made it for his kids. I wonder if they feel as betrayed as all the other avatar fans do? Maybe even more, possibly?

I've only seen clips of the live action movie, and I can see how much it was messed up (I've seen the whole series and loved it).
Did M. Night just watch The Ember Island Players, decide that the play was a summary of all the character's adventures (or at least, did he think it was an accurate one) and then went and made a movie?
At least he didn't cast Aang as a woman.
