I am a black man and I grew up in Tennessee around country music. But, it wasn't until the 80's until I really fell in love with country music. I loved 80's country!!! WOW!! I heard this song tonight and Sylvia voice took me back to that time. Some of the best times I have ever had were two-stepping to this music in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma!! Thanks for the memories!!!
it was so cool that women could have a major career in Country music and the still have a life and raise a family. Their songs live on and they got to have a life.
Very touching song. Many of todays "country" singers in her sitiation would brag about getting revenge , smashing up eachothers vehicles and getting drunk with someone else. Sylvia keeps it to the point and clean. I miss these types of singers.
I have that album too on Vinyl but its titled "Sweet Yesterday" and Sweet Yesterday is an extremely Depressing song. You can hear more of Sylvia's Songs on My Channel, Just click on my nick n U'll B there
Love this song! It takes me back to 1982 and being a junior in high school. I had this cassette tape and played it all the time. One of my favorite albums, of all times.
What about "They say you can't go back"........I want this album again sooo bad!!!!! My mom had this when I was a kid and me and my sister would put panty hose on our head and twist them like a braid and pretend like we had long hair like Sylvia. We sang these songs so much I could never forget a lyric. Our tape died years ago and unfortunatly you cant buy it without spending a fortune.
@Rogpromotions Check the truckstops. I found it at one for 5.00. I remember going to see Syvia at the country fair in Anderson Ca and she was fantastic.
She is now known as Sylvia Hutton. She lives in Florida, owns a record label, and is a life coach for up and coming musicians. She has a my space if ya want to check it out.
May I ask her name?? Sylvia - too many names...
