Great video man. My older brother use to take me to these races back in 95'/96'. I was about 13 at the time.

Last time I went to the races was in 2006. Their were no muscle cars and it was just a bunch of kids acting obnoxious. The whole night consisted of me watching kids race toyotas and their moms station wagons. The cops chased us out with in 5 minuets of each spot the crowd moved to.

It a shame how a bad the times have changed.

From what i hear there hasn't been any racing on 61st ever since those 3 kids were killed in a crash during the races in I think 2007.

EVERY FRIDAY AND SATURDAY NIGHT! i was there with my 5.0 mustang gt .we used to race by the airport or by the spectrum. there's time on essington ave. cops always chase us off. i just missed those real raw power muscle car(V8)......mustang, camaro, grand national, muscle cars back in the 60's and 70's. now...its all bullshit! hey it was fun back in the days!!!!!

I think the problem occured before that, like when the internet became popular. I learned about the Philly streets from a website, and drove down there one night with my GMC Syclone around 1999 or 2000. The cops were just all over, and not much racing was done. I basically just wanted to watch.
