Marvin wasn't a very good mover as, being stubborn ( kind of fella) he refused to attend any of the artist development courses that motown provided for it's artists, thinking he didn't need to develop. He was later to regret this move although his vocals speak for themselves. A great all rounder was marvin, dearly missed. Sleep well marvin, and take care of tammi. I'm sure she's at your side.
I really like this version, and have been waiting to find it on here. thanks you for posting it.. I like the "jazzy " version of this. its a little different , and I think Mr. Gay does a nice job, and the dancers ad a nice touch to it.. especially at the beginning, when all you see just their arms, then they all move around.....
They know who they are, and so do i, the ones who were online for the first hour of the link appearing. It's been online 4 hours and nobody can be bothered with it. Your links usually get attention. I've just statused my view on it. THEY ARE PLASTIC SOUL LOVERS !! this is beautiful and fantastic.
@merseymain I've really tried to enjoy soul music from the 80's to the 00's, but I just can't do it. And why do they call this satin sheet music "R&B"? I guess there's some rhythm, but there are no blues.

Marvin was so cool even when he sang back behind Billy Stewart in the Rainbows ....my sax player worked with and met Marvin in the early 60's

Marvin Gaye was a great singer. Looking at clips from long ago, I see that, like Otis Redding and Teddy Pendergast, he wasn't much of a dancer...
