  • Thanks for this beautiful Vid. You are blessed to be there.

  • @lonewolf13scott I am Native, Indian, First Nations, Aboriginal or whatever labels are used in Canada. My respects to the Cherokee Nation, you have a proud history. Here in Canada, Non-Natives have a less than romantic view of Indians, wer are second class to most, and the divisions between whites and natives is evident everywhere you go. Certainly don't find too many Whites at pow wows, nor would they dare set foot on the rez to even try to understand Native culture. Just the way it is.

  • another great video. still going to the one on the 3rd

  • This is a great event and great video! I love the community spirit, music, dancing, tradition, good times, flag waving, hats, feathers, shakers, costumes, bales of hay, and all the fine people.

  • This is to victoryorvalhalla09 and lonewolf13scott -

The first people - native americans - have pretty much been diluted into the mainstream but for some precious enclaves. I am 3/8 Cherokee which allows me to claim native heritage. I may not look the part. that's not what counts. what I really identify by is what I feel in my heart towards my history and responsibility to the earth, sky, and people on this planet, and how we interact with all that.

  • @MamboDogFaceOne I've read a bit about the Quantum blood laws or Indian blood laws in the United States. A complex issue I don't even want to get into. Here in Canada we have "Indian Status" and I'm not benefitting in any way from it. don't 'look the part' either, (Native) nor do I have a colourful "Indian" name. I must admit, to being 'diluted into the mainstream' can't turn back the clock, just move forwards but remember the past.

  • @victoryorvalhalla09

No benefit here either. No colorful name. Just trying to keep my finger on the pulse of the people and keep my spirit up. I'm sorry to hear (your comment to LoneWolf) that other Canadians don't care to learn Native cultures. For me, learning the skills our ancestors knew and some elders still know, makes it possible to survive no matter what happens to the crazy economic climate. That and tending our sick mother are my primary goals these days.

  • Landon is AMAZING btw. Spiritmoon did fantastic! You did too brother, don't get me wrong lol :P I gotta practice more often to keep up with you guys :)

  • OMG I wish I was there. You don't know how badly I want to go. I'd sacrifice everything just to go see you guys. Glad you had fun my brother wolf :)

  • @victoryorvalhalla09 Not all Natives have black hair and dark brown skin. Stop judging people by what you see in movies and TV, read a book why don't ya.

  • @KachinaVillage You are right! I have dark brown hair and light brown skin and I AM Native, Indian, First Nations,,,whatever. Got the worthless status card to prove it. Don't need to read the book, I'm living it everyday!

  • @victoryorvalhalla09 You should be proud of who you are, I am proud of who I am. Our people are strong and forever will be. We survived through years of the white man killing our people. Many have died and many survived. The history of that dark past never slows us down my brother
