  • Yeah. These are all classic. Sadly I remember them all. Lol

  • @saucysandi Same here... I was an impressionable 12 year old and made my parents buy me that torch.

  • Ahh the Anchor butter adverts, I used to love them. I remember my gran thinking that it was clever they taught the cows to dance, no matter how hard we tried to explain, she wouldn't accept it was trick photography

  • Ahhh, Insignia, It was to the 1980's and mid 90's what Lynx was to the mid 90's to mid 2000's

  • I'd forgotten that insignia ad. Thanks for reminding me.

That said, he really needs to trim his pits.

  • Even today, that Anchor advert still makes me want to kick my screen in.

  • Loved that P&O advert

  • the guy in the branston ad is the fella who played george, martin clunes' slightly slow assistant in the office from men behaving badly

  • I remember every single one of these adverts :) Especially that P&O Ferries one and Scotch video tapes. Ahhh such wonderful nostalgic memories! :) 5 Stars!

  • I am looking for an anchor butter ad from 1981, it has the song 'didn't we have a lovely time the day we went to bangor' on it i think and a load of little girls getting off an old bus. anyone got it??

  • I remember my dad had one of those remington shavers...think it finally gave out around 1995. lol

  • Ah yes, I remember the dancing cows!

  • INSIGNIA SMELLS RANK!

  • NO HAIR.. BE BALD! BE WHITE!!

  • The Insignia add brings back memories (a truly awful smell). Just look at the guy's computer at the end of the advert. Serious 80's technology :)

  • Loved the music in the P&O advert so much that i contacted the tv station.

    They couldnt help.

I hate the latest P&O advert

its got "horrible" rock music that dosent fit with the relaxing image of a cruise.

Cant imagine the older generation liking it too much either!

  • Note that the two ads using 1964 Rolling Stones hits appear consecutively - a coincidence, or a deliberate decision on the part of those who decided which ads would appear in which order?

  • ahhh .. the Scotch tape ad, another of my faves, and the Insignia ad

  • i loved that anchor butter advert with the cows... ah brings back memories of my childhood!!

  • Ah, that Remington Fuzz Away! I remember that one with the clothes leaping out of the wardrobe.

And I used to love that skeleton watching the Scotch videos.

These ad directors don't make 'em like they used to!
