Bigger isn't always better. That is what I like about Bose. Creating the ultimate live feeling with speakers that won't take much space. Everyone of my friends were astonished about the quality of my old bose 205 speakers. Specs are unimportant. It is about how it sounds. And that is what Bose does best, sound through research.
I see there have been a few posters here that haven't actually used this system, you can tell by the negative comments. The only people I ever hear comment about the lack of ability of this system is people who have never heard it. They look at it, figure there is no way it could work and then say it out loud. For those of us that own it and gig with it, we know the truth. The thing that this system actually destroys is the stereotype of what a PA should be.
As much as you guys would like to hate this, Bose has sold TONS of units around the world. Professional respected musicians such as Pat Metheny, use the Bose L1 system as their main touring rig!! I've heard rock bands cover Jimmy Hendrix with this setup and it sounds amazing. Like any speaker, including the QSC K12's, you have to learn how to use them. Spend the necessary time to learn is nuances. Don't bash the Bose if you haven't heard or spent due time with it!!! Don't spread ignorance!!
I tried both and bought the Fishman (SoloAmp) SA220. Unzip the bag set up the stand sit the head on the stand and it's ready. Take a look in this video at how wobbly the little mixer gizmo is that sits on the side.
2 L1's have 48 or 56, i cant remember the exact amount, but hey man, i can tell you after playing m,any live acoustic gigs with very good musicians, we all know these things are a god send live. You her EVERY note of each musician for the whole gig. Thats a new one on me!!. i was at a mates place who has £5000.00 studio monitors. We A/B'ed them with my L1mkII's. The L1's sound "symphonic, bigger" Try them out
@tablatom Look up Meyer Sound, L'Acoustics, D&B Audiotechnik, NEXO, etc. There's a reason why real artists don't tour with these for their smaller event, they use real big names like the ones I just listed. Bose is just all marketing. Once you hear speakers made by those brands, Bose is basically something you can't even compare anymore.
ahahahaha if you think that tinny thing will destroy a small home then what would 4 Yourkville 1500wtt 18s and 2 sets of jbl jrx 125s that are mine do to a house then?
@doctordeejay I have had 2 of these L1's for the last 9 months. I have had many good quality PA systems before and i still do have 2 other systems which i hire out. I only play with the L1. It is very well made, very portable and the sound is very clear and can be very loud. Many people have come up to me after a gig and said it sounded like CD quality. Most of the musicians i have played with have said its the best on-stage experience they have ever had. I can say the same. I LOVE it!!

The BOSE L1 and 2 are toys, not built for the road.
2 XLR inputs? Nigger please!
T1 is extra $, ------way over priced and worst of all... it sounds like BOSE- airy, feeble, no balls.
This is coffee shop gear.

im sorry to say at high levels this system can be very harsh..... and Keyboard stereo samples sound harsh and not very good.
its a great system at moderate levels only, which i think it was designed for. My QSC K12's ROCK THE HOUSE.
