Heh I remember 10 years ago doodling in a notebook (paper variety) and talking with other geeky friends about the idea of putting Mp3's on laptop hard drive and making it work with a portable cd player. They all laughed. Mp3 was too obscure, and potentially illegal. Nobody would want to make a player that could only play illegal copies.. pshhh.

Great video. Always great to take a walk down technology lane. I think your 100% right about people not wanting to be alone, or disconnected. I think you nailed it right on the head. Im shocked with the firewire too. It was a great system, especially for external hardrives. I never found USB 2 to be even close, so that was a shocker for me as well. Almost makes no sense.
