  • down and out by cam'ron go in

  • Anybody know where I D/L this Mixtape?

  • @davematt678 u forgetiin dilla nigga

  • @WundaTwinzTV Dilla is good but no where near the best.

  • Kanye has some of the stupidest songs out there... But as a producer he is damn near unmatched.. He amazes me with what he does to samples and the samples he chooses are crazy

  • @shamsta19 How are his songs some of the stupidest ??

  • good sht, son..

  • that second group picture is Earth wind and fire not quite creative source

  • @TheKreator03 i was trying to figure out where they figured into this...

  • is it really that hard for rappers to make original musical composition.

  • Beanie Sigal sample for 'The Truth' is Graham Nash- 'Chicago'.

  • down and out is one of my favorite samples turned into a beat. Kanye is the truth

  • @ziggydow down and out is chonky fire by outkast he just reused the beat

  • beats dont transiton fast enough.

  • this is a terrible video

  • man me and madlib used this back in 93

  • that creative source sample is probably the hottest sample i ever heard except for james browns funky drummer. props to kanye for a hot beat but i wish he woulda left this beat to common like he was going to.

  • Kanye's dope but he's not top 3 maybe top 10

  • @Destinita92 Succes-wise he's definitely top 3. he's one of the only rappers who can succesfully cross from Producer to rapper. Even if he uses samples, they're all hit makers. When you look at his career he's not only produced Number 1 songs, but he's made his own number 1 tracks. If it wasn't for him, Jay-z and the rest of Roc-a-fella wouldn't have had been as hot as they were. Not number 1 per se, but def top 3. So yeah he deserves top 3, he's prettymuch unparalelled.

  • Kayne is a genius with the samples...that Game Dreams and Down and Out samples are my favs!!!

  • down and out for cudi?

  • Sampling is hot! It's the only reason why I know songs which I would never have otherwise heard of. Love the 60s,70s, 80s and 90s. Love all music.

  • @lovejoypain i so agree with you..i like the samples u gotta go back to or ask ya parents!!!

  • People make me laugh when they think there is no talent in sampling.. if there was no talent then why aren't you doin it haters? Kanye is a Genius top 10 rapper top 3 producer end of!

  • I would say top 3 producers...but not top 10 rappers...

  • mannnnn.... top 10?..... what about top 50?!? but I do respect his beatz

  • amen bruh amen...

  • Kanye + sampling an awesome old song = Even better

  • Why do these post go wrong. just enjoy people.

Keep it cool. It is a great song always has been.

  • exacty they need 2 stop hating

  • Amen.

  • Music is all about looking from another aspect and reusing what is classic. Just bringing back the real music to help out the music today. Without the work of the greatest that came before us...we would be nothing. Amen

  • amen brutha

  • word! we just elaborating on the nice tracks making them even more "listenable" to our generation

  • @tdstewart21 why did u feel the need to say amen though

  • @tdstewart21 Preach! Church! Tabernacle!

  • @tdstewart21 Exactly. People who look down on sampling need to take a look at the music they put so highly into regard. Every song out today is influenced by elements from previous artists. The proof lies in the fact that so many songs nowadays sound similar to each other. Look at Taio Cruz and Ludacris' "Break Your Heart"? Same chord progression as Akon's "Beautiful". Eminem's "Not Afraid" shares the chord progression with a Miley Cyrus song, too. It's all borrowed music no matter what genre.

  • @tdstewart21 And then God said let there be tdstewart21. I couldnt put it any better myself man.

  • @tdstewart21 TRUE

  • Sampling, done well for example by Kanye West,is an accomplishment.

To take a very small abstract part of an exisiting piece of music and to create something radically diferent requires a good ear, a sound knowledge of musical sources and a geat deal of creative ability.

Popular music has been an imitation from its inception Sinatra, Elvis, the Beatles, the Rolling Stones+ many others were often imitators of blues, jazz, soul artists that preceeded them and ofen were their contemporaries...

  • @07091102 yess true, sampling is an art, and you still have to know music to do it.

  • people who talk like you are SO much more enlightened than those that would say "kanye has no talent"

  • oh fa sho, thanx

  • whats the name of that william bell sample?

  • "strung out" william bell and marvis staples from the staple sisters. He didnt make that sample. It was sum dude named alamay or almay

  • Read, asshole!

  • 2:04 whats the song

  • Creative Source - I'd Find You Anywhere

  • The fucking songs are listed in the info.

    God damn, read for once.

  • hahahaha

  • Nobody ever did it better than Dilla of course. Dilla took sampling to a different level that I can't even begin to explain. I have never been touched by someones music more than Dilla's. Kanye makes fucking amazing stuff and people shit on him way too much. He's got a great style when it comes to beats (pre 808's and Heartbreaks) and he know's what he's doing. Not many people in the mainstream use samples anymore, artists like Kanye kept it alive (except for 808's and heartbreaks again)

  • So true.

    R.I.P J DILLA.

  • Yeah! Dilla was my biggest inspiration.

    Thanks Dilla.

  • It starts with notes and lyrics from George Duke Someday

  • kanye went in on digging thru crates for the samples my viewpoint is the man chops up samples the best in the game. he get the pieces he wants just right not riding his dick just giving da man respect lol ( ppl b ready to say a nigga ride someone dick)

  • kanye picks really beautiful samples

  • yes totally agree amen

  • thats good that someone is experimenting with the old school nature of music. thats why hes a top artest, he isnt afraid to switch it up.

  • the william bell sample, he just took it where hip hop would have wanted it to go...it ain't that much different, just looped

  • its called down and out

  • dilla=god

    BUT

    kanye=apostle

  • was the name of the song at the end with camero"n

  • nicely put!

  • on the first beat he should have add that guy singing 1:14 throught 1:51 it would have made it hot

  • The William Bell sample is so dope.

  • what's with the Earth Wind & Fire cheesin' at the Funeral pic Instead of Creative Source?

  • haha, i was just about to say that

  • that game and kanye wasnt earth, wind and, fire. it was creative source. somebody sampled it for jadakiss too in "by your side"

  • it dont matter....if it werent for kanye......we would not have some of the best hip hop songs over the last 5 or 6 years

  • lol all of kanye's beats were samples

  • noone does it better the ye' samples or not

  • Which reminds me.. Where's Cam???

  • cam got a album coming out crime pays in this November holla baby

  • "Break My Heart" is one of my favorite Kanye production...

  • agreed

  • u mad dumm cuz like every producer sample shit

  • Ya everyone samples, but not everyone is that lazy, look at 9th Wonder, Jay-dilla and them

  • did u say 9th doesnt sample?? iono wut u meant but if u did... he def does...

  • He meant that 9th Wonder and J Dilla sample but they do more than just loop something and speed it up.

  • What does that Mean?!?!?!?!?

  • dilla = beast

  • No Money Down
