My understanding is In this video the valve has been repaired coz I had tripple by pass and ascending aorta repalecment also aortic valve repaired in my first surgery in oct 2000 then in march 2002 i had another bypass and aortic arch replacment. then in may 2004 I had undergone another decending Aorta replacement still need further surgery for abdominal aorta bingo and yet again just been told last thursday that Aortic valve is leaking yet still live n kicking lolz and life is not same since..

Bleeding seems to be a major problem of this surgery. Did you use Bioglue / other haemostatic drugs during / after surgery to contain bleeding ?

This is an excellent video of an effective treatment for aortic insufficiency related to aortic root dilation. How many sutures were used to resuspend each commissure? What sized graft did you use, and how do you choose your graft size?

How does the heart lung machine 'pump blood' through the body through a pitifully small return tube (that is inserted just down line from the surgery ) - compared to the aorta which is on the average, 3cm in diameter? I say, no way. I have seen no mention of the how a small peristaltic pump is adjusted or the degree of the pressure that must be applied though the tube. WHO can answer this? Think people!

the main purpose are to rplace the Aortic Vessel and reserve the Aortic Valve.

It is for the Aortic Dissektion , Aneurysma and Congenital diseases.

Whe the Aortic valve is still ok, when not must be replaced it.

The complication after that depend on the the technik and the team competent.

I had a car crash when I was 17. I tore my aorta in two. I have one of those grafts now. My valve was not replaced but part of my aorta was. Tell you what I was a sore boy after they fixed me. Kinda creepy watching this because you see what was done. I admire doctors for their skill and dedication, without them I would not be here today!

This isn't an aortic valve repair (or replacement) but an aortic root replacement with dacron prothesis.

2 main steps: surgical demolition of root aneurysm and replacement with prothesis.
