Pet stores love taking advantage of idiots and selling expensive, unnecessary UVB bulbs. Snakes are primarily nocturnal, and the ones that are diurnal hide for a large portion of the day.

Thats true my teacher is a snake expert...she dosen't have any uvb lights for her snake...and she has had the snake for a long time.

snake roams at night only. and hunting for food at night why do you need uvb?sounds like anther pet store trying to make a buck.

Some snakes are diurnal, But yes this snake is nocturnal and does not benefit from UVB.
Also, The coil UVB bulbs put out high amounts of UVB, and can harm your animal... The tubes are better.

Hi, if you imagine a human being who never leaves the house during daytime.. how many lights would you suggest for that person and does he / she have to sit close to the lights to get the radiation? Any thoughts are good, thanks =D
