My launch 60GB PS3 died 2 weeks ago (YLOD). I am planning to get a PS3 slim as a replacement, but there is a place I know where I can get this MGS4 40GB PS3. 2 questions, is this backwards compatible and can this play US PS2 games if it is compatible? I would really love to have a system that can play all my PS2 FF games, etc and the Hagane color looks like a choice color.
