What exact year was this put out? I'm very surprised Paul never released an album of songs other than his 1989 one. I would love to have a crystal clear version of this tune and "You Kill Me".
@phaota YES! I agree. This came out shortly before his first solo CD, and I bought it hoping there'd be this song and "You Kill Me" on it. I was majorly disappointed. The album had some good stuff, but not having those 2 songs commercially available still ticks me off.
"The cat is dead, the point is moot..." Credit to Merrill Markoe for writing Dress Cool! She was Dave's head writer through the 1980s, who he just happened to have had affair with...She created Stupid Pet Tricks and enough other gems to win five Emmy awards.
WoW!!! I remember this so well. I thought it was catchy enough so I could never understand why it wasn't released . The only other time I remember it being played was when Paul was a guest VJ on MTV but that was like 24 years ago....
At this point I am sure EVERYTHING is on YouTube, so no surprise finding this... I clearly remember watching it when it originally broadcasted... heck that was the only time I ever saw it and the tune stuck, go figure!
Wow. Thank you so much for posting this. I've had the first verse and chorus of this stuck in my head for 17 years? And the best part is... it's an exact replica of my memory since i would have seen it in Tulsa on KJRH2!! Thanks!
@chippachris Do you think they thought it was 'cheesy' back in 1984 or whenever the fuck it was? Would you have said that back then? Or were you so cool in 2007 you could make this judgement? Does it dilute your enjoyment of this great song? Does it???????!!!!!
A friend of mine and I had the biggest crush on Sid back then!

It's cool seeing Steve Jordan (the original Late Night drummer) with the band again. Too bad Hiram Bullock wasn't still around.
