And you're correct there is no connection between the Easter Bunny or the "Christmas Tree" to anything in the Bible. These are just traditions and Christians are completely aware of that. There are a lot of Christians that argue all that stuff needs to be completely purged from the Church. Maybe, but they are just traditions to me. Not pagan sun worship.

As a Christian myself I know Christians that won't celebrate Christmas or have a Christmas tree or the Easter eggs for the very reasons you state. That's extreme imho. Like I said it's just tradition to me, I have no interest in paganism or what they believed back then. Christmas trees and lights are just happy to me.

You don't understand the scriptures. If you are implying that God is saying there that He stands alone as the Father and there is no deity(no Holy Spirit, or Son) then you have not read the bible all the way through. He was referring to their idols and how their idols can not save them or deliver them and beside Him there is no other savior. He was NOT talking about His Son Jesus the Christ. You need to read the Gospel of John chapter 1.

when God uses phrases like "Us" and "Our" He is only referring to Himself in royal plurals. He does this several times in the Bible...and many times in the Quran.
for instance a queen might say:

And as for the Fish symbol, as I commented, the fish symbol is not only used by the Catholic Church, but by other Christian denominations. Originally, the fish symbol was used by the Greeks and Romans and other pagans, so it was not surprising that the early Christians chose the fish symbol as a password or secret symbol when they faced persecutions for their faith during the first century after Christ.

Isn't it interesting that there is far more historical evidence of Jesus than many other historical figures of that time and yet no one doubts the existence of other figures of the period. Any knowledgeable scholar of history will tell you that Jesus Christ is probably the best documented figure of his time. As for Josephus, one of his references to Jesus is disputed, but the other is accepted by almost everyone!
I think that might be because there may be reliable proof/evidence that those people did exist. However, A man wandering around the middle east performing miracles in front of hundreds of witnesses seems to have miraculously avoided the reliable recording of his existence.

The Sun is a medium sized star located approx. 93 million miles from earth. Now, I do not believe that it has a personality or that it is divine. It is not a self-aware being. LOL, well I like the George Harrison/Beatles tune a lot. But Christians most certainly DO NOT worship the sun. However, the sun is the brightest light we see and therefore carries a lot of symbolism. For example, truth, knowledge and reason are symbol of LIGHT as opposed to darkness. To come to a conclusion that Christians worship the sun is completely absurd. They in fact do not and are forbidden to do so. The sun merely represents the aforementioned symbolism.

And you're correct there is no connection between the Easter Bunny or the "Christmas Tree" to anything in the Bible. These are just traditions and Christians are completely aware of that. There are a lot of Christians that argue all that stuff needs to be completely purged from the Church. Maybe, but they are just traditions to me. Not pagan sun worship.

As a Christian myself I know Christians that won't celebrate Christmas or have a Christmas tree or the Easter eggs for the very reasons you state. That's extreme imho. Like I said it's just tradition to me, I have no interest in paganism or what they believed back then. Christmas trees and lights are just happy to me.

However, you do have a point. There are a lot of pagan throw backs in there. It seems the point is to somehow imply that Christianity, and even Judaism, are REALLY re-manifestations of ancient astrological religions. I see lots of 'false analogies' here, that because two things are similar in one regard, they are similar in other regards. I also find many of the coincidences to be extreme stretches, like they way Nostradamus' so-called 'prophecies', or the 'Lincoln-Kennedy' coincidences. Clever writing can make ANY to things look coincidental!

An interesting point about the son.
The use of the sun as deliberately contrived deviant symbolic strategy is a bit more difficult to nail down (no pun intended) as it is one of the first things we artists (particularly stained glass artists) think of incorporating into chapel designs because 1) it is the sun that makes the art glow and 2) because of the significance of the sun in our lives, as it illuminates what we can't see in the dark, is vital to food growth and happiness, etc

A lot of the popes were really ungodly guys anyway. The catholic traditions really add a whole bunch of man and not god. they put the sun disc behind the saints and jesus which makes them acceptable to pagans as sun gods. then they have the fish hat which wreaks of Gods of the sea and references to the age of Pisces. It all dilutes the original power of the gospel and needs to be repented of. my recommendation is to keep Isaiah 43:11 and lose the Quran.

You don't understand the scriptures. If you are implying that God is saying there that He stands alone as the Father and there is no deity(no Holy Spirit, or Son) then you have not read the bible all the way through. He was referring to their idols and how their idols can not save them or deliver them and beside Him there is no other savior. He was NOT talking about His Son Jesus the Christ. You need to read the Gospel of John chapter 1.

GOD is God alone.
when God uses phrases like "Us" and "Our" He is only referring to Himself in royal plurals. He does this several times in the Bible...and many times in the Quran.
for instance a queen might say:
"We shall have some tea now"...when she is only referring to herself. or a king might say: "Let us send forth the troops" when he is referring to a decision he made himself.
royal plurals are not that common now...but it use to be a way someone in authority spoke.

You would have also read that Jesus is the way the truth and the life and that no one comes unto the father but through him. You would also have read that God bore the sins of the world upon him and that he is a saving sacrifice. Obviously you have never read the bible and if you did only bits and pieces. And as for the Fish symbol, as I commented, the fish symbol is not only used by the Catholic Church, but by other Christian denominations. Originally, the fish symbol was used by the Greeks and Romans and other pagans, so it was not surprising that the early Christians chose the fish symbol as a password or secret symbol when they faced persecutions for their faith during the first century after Christ.

Jesus of Nazareth existed as a historical man. He was not a theological construct. There are enough historical witnesses to verify this as fact. Science and history have never been able to disprove His existence, despite claims to the contrary. We have more evidence on the life of Jesus, archaeological, historical witnesses, extra-biblical evidence, primary and secondary source historical, etc.

Now, can I ask you why you will not accept the Gospels as historic evidence, just because it is a religious book. Give me proof that the Bible is not historically reliable. Secondly, the Gospel manuscript evidence in age and number is greater for Jesus than many historical figures, including Julius Caeser. Give me proof for Caesers' existence using contemporary documents alone. ?

Isn't it interesting that there is far more historical evidence of Jesus than many other historical figures of that time and yet no one doubts the existence of other figures of the period. Any knowledgeable scholar of history will tell you that Jesus Christ is probably the best documented figure of his time. As for Josephus, one of his references to Jesus is disputed, but the other is accepted by almost everyone!

I think that might be because there may be reliable proof/evidence that those people did exist. However, A man wandering around the middle east performing miracles in front of hundreds of witnesses seems to have miraculously avoided the reliable recording of his existence.
Oh, other than the bible, which is a very long and often mistranslated allegory sun (and other planetary worship) worship.

The Sun is a medium sized star located approx. 93 million miles from earth. Now, I do not believe that it has a personality or that it is divine. It is not a self-aware being. I have seen it in a telescope, and have learned all of this information in astronomy class. Now please can someone explain how we as Christians worship the sun, with credible proof please. Anyone!?

That is made up crap. Their is no lineage of popes that come from the Peter. He even says in scripture he is just a fellow servant. The vatican and catholic church system want to be bigger and greater than all churches and appoint their selves descendants of the apostles. It was in front of this obelisk that the first mass executions of Christians took place.
