I heard they didn't include MGS 1 on the Metal Gear Collection because Hideo Kojima said he didn't want to just remake it with better graphics, he would rather redo the whole story and perhaps tell a different story to the whole event.

Was hooked on the Metal Gear Solid, 2nd one was an acid trip, so i skipped the third one altogether. Possibly the most epic theme ever in a video game. No it is the most epic theme in a video game, and to span great themes across a generation and four different is truly remarkable and I thank Hideo Kojima for being such an amazing guy.

Metal Gear n Metal Gear 2 Solid Snake is on MGS3 Subsistence second disk. Thats one of the best way. I don't know whats the second alternative.(If they ever released it on Nintendo, cause at the back of Subsistence's case it says "Never before released Metal Gear and Metal Gear 2 Solid Snake." I think u may be able to play it on the computer idk how, wud be cool tho if I knew cause I wud ply it. Wud be better to ply on computer, cause u have the arrow keys :)

My all time favourite videogame series right from Metal Gear on the nes to MGS4, there is not a single bad MG game (excepting ac!d and others that just milked money from fans) But the original MGS on ps1 was damn near perfect and is probably my 2nd favourite videogame ever. Most games focus all their time and effort into gameplay and graphics whilst games like metal gear, final fantasy and more recently Heavy rain focus on imersive story and characterising.
@dirtmcjoebuger There was also a game called Indigo Prophecy (US) / Farenheit (everywhere else) who was made by the same people who made Heavy Rain. And that was back on the ps2, orig. xbox, what have you. It was by far one of the games that stand out of my many years of playing.
@ghostlat i know, i love that game aswell! but i prefered the story of Heavy Rain, plus quantic dream improved the controls. But i have to agree that farenheit was one of the most original games i have ever played and does stand out for me.
@dirtmcjoebuger Heavy Rain's story was one of the most impressive I've ever played. I absolutely loved how Quantic Dream delivered the story, throwing all kinds of twists and turns about, and the fact that you could kill off the main characters, and the story keep going, was truly ingenious. It felt like everytime I sat down to play, something new and unexpected was thrown into the mix. I'd love to see more of the same kind of cinematic game going around... done well, of course.

Honestly, saying these themes are epic just don't do it justice. These songs pretty much rip the emotion out of wherever you hid it. Solid Snake. Big Boss. I salute you.
I remember at the very end of the second MGS game, the main character looks down at his dog tags... and your name is on it. I think I was about 15 and that was such an awesome thing for me.
My cousin is a major fan of the series, and he tried to show them to me, but they're waaaay too complex unless you have a lot of time to figure it all out it and play them all IN ORDER.
this was the first song they played at video games live at wolftrap last year, was amazingly epic and they even had ators come out on stage one in a box and the other a terrorist and when he saw the box a little exclamationpoint actually popped up, it was such a blast
i have played a bit of each one but i have not been able to borrow them long enough to actually get really decent into the games. i have seen a box set for the 3 of the games 1 playstation and the other two ps2. still wanting to try the newest one lol.

my christmas this year = Metal Gear 1 then 2 (from the subsistance version of mgs3) then 1, 2, 3 and 4 :D (it's been way~~ too long since i played them :P)

This theme is a plagiated from one almost unknown russian classical music composer. Orginal song is called Winter road.

Metal Gear n Metal Gear 2 Solid Snake is on MGS3 Subsistence second disk. Thats one of the best way. I don't know whats the second alternative.(If they ever released it on Nintendo, cause at the back of Subsistence's case it says "Never before released Metal Gear and Metal Gear 2 Solid Snake." I think u may be able to play it on the computer idk how, wud be cool tho if I knew cause I wud ply it. Wud be better to ply on computer, cause u have the arrow keys :)

My all time favourite videogame series right from Metal Gear on the nes to MGS4, there is not a single bad MG game (excepting ac!d and others that just milked money from fans) But the original MGS on ps1 was damn near perfect and is probably my 2nd favourite videogame ever. Most games focus all their time and effort into gameplay and graphics whilst games like metal gear, final fantasy and more recently Heavy rain focus on imersive story and characterising.
and kids today rave about COD...

@dirtmcjoebuger There was also a game called Indigo Prophecy (US) / Farenheit (everywhere else) who was made by the same people who made Heavy Rain. And that was back on the ps2, orig. xbox, what have you. It was by far one of the games that stand out of my many years of playing.

@ghostlat i know, i love that game aswell! but i prefered the story of Heavy Rain, plus quantic dream improved the controls. But i have to agree that farenheit was one of the most original games i have ever played and does stand out for me.

@dirtmcjoebuger Heavy Rain's story was one of the most impressive I've ever played. I absolutely loved how Quantic Dream delivered the story, throwing all kinds of twists and turns about, and the fact that you could kill off the main characters, and the story keep going, was truly ingenious. It felt like everytime I sat down to play, something new and unexpected was thrown into the mix. I'd love to see more of the same kind of cinematic game going around... done well, of course.

Honestly, saying these themes are epic just don't do it justice. These songs pretty much rip the emotion out of wherever you hid it. Solid Snake. Big Boss. I salute you.

I remember at the very end of the second MGS game, the main character looks down at his dog tags... and your name is on it. I think I was about 15 and that was such an awesome thing for me.

this was the first song they played at video games live at wolftrap last year, was amazingly epic and they even had ators come out on stage one in a box and the other a terrorist and when he saw the box a little exclamationpoint actually popped up, it was such a blast
