  • More to story also amplifies sympathetic nervous activity

  • No, that is not how caffeine works, read Caffeine Blues and you'll know.

    That's how caffeine blocks adenosine.

Caffeine also raises cortisol levels, that raises blood sugar levels, and leads to adrenal fatigue, it also makes the kidney dump minerals into the urine, it also raises dopamine that lead to chemical dependency, and withdraw symptoms when not taken, and many other problems.

It is a dangerous and unregulated drug that people put in soft drinks for kids, isn't it CRAZY???

  • lol at the end of the video i tought he said : I'm Marshmallow Brains and that is how stuff works XD

  • i need to remember this video cuz my college roommate drinks 2 cups everyday and at night he barely sleeps

  • i drank almost 1000mg yesterday hehehehehe

  • looks like i wont be needing 5 hour energy.

  • Why the hell is the description about GPS?

  • I use to smear my body with coffee and pretend that im a turd.

  • lol i'm reaching for a seckond cup after a couple of minutes :D

  • MONSTER! OH YEAH

  • where can i buy caffeine and just caffeine?

  • @Jameslikespudding

Online, check amazon, you can get a tub of powdered caffeine, or in pill form.

  • @Jameslikespudding amazon

  • I like to eat 3 tablespoons of coffee in the mourning it gives me a buzz!!!

  • Who ever wrote the description forgot their morning coffee XDD

  • fuck energy drinks and coffee... buy caffine pills...90 pills of 200 mg per bottle=180,000 mg for $4.00.......3 red bulls of 80mg per drink=240mg for $4.00........180,000 mg to 240 mg for same price.....No brainer people

  • pills do not work for everyone

  • wow

  • Caffeine and THC are the two best substances on earth. Holler at your boy.

  • I don't get it, i sometimes drink 1-3 cups of coffee in the morning but still feel sleepy, and 2-4 (500ml) cans of energy drinks in the evening, and still sleep like a baby...

Is it possible that my brain doesn't react on caffeine ? Coz it's been this way for as long as i can remember....

  • @HaloFTW117 its weird how it works, i usually drink one large energy drink a day, and i rly feel the caffeine high after, but it also makes me feel sleepy, so i often take a nap after, if i drink too much caffeine i get rly nervous in my whole body, i guess some ppl are more sensitive to caffeine than others

  • @geppegep If it makes you feel sleepy, then stop taking it. Cause you took too much sugar that the pancreas can no longer cope up so they stop insulin production. Your body can only do it a couple of times, after that they gave up and then you have type 2 diabetes.

  • does happen

  • @HaloFTW117 Everyone is different, sometimes different chemicals and drugs take longer to work in another persons body.

not even 15 cups of coffee will work for me, but once I get to sleep I'll wake up after 3-5 hrs and feel wide awake

  • PENIS

  • @whotaughtyou U PHALE

  • As you watch this, remember, the main point of this video has nothing to do with caffeine. It is actually about how GPS works. You'll see.

  • I'll LMAO if the GPS Recievers video has the Caffeine description.

  • 2007 and description isnt changed.. poor vid >.<

  • Bingo.

  • HEY THAT GUY WAS ON DR OZ FOR THE DUKAN DIET!!!!!!!!!! omg lol!

  • so your saying our body is playing a mix between hungry hungry hippos and pacman by drinking caffeine?

  • @changerianz where u get that kind of information ? I can say that cofeine makes u live 10 times longer, but this info has no base too.

  • DSCRIPTION FAIL

  • I LOVE CAFFEINE!!! The best drug in the world!!!!

  • @ThereminWeirdo thats lsd

  • @ThereminWeirdo It's like crack I'm so high.

  • WHO THE FUCK want to see red riding hood? I think hollywood completely ran out of ideas for movies

  • So my brain has some weird piranha plant looking things that eat adendasine and that makes my nerves slower and if i drink coffee then they eat the stuff that don't slow the nerves down? :P weird

  • what the hell has gps gt to do with this video lol :)

  • @shakedown33 I guess it's different if you have strong or not so strong coffee.

  • He says 3 cups of coffee equals 300mg of caffeine, 100mg each cup. I thought the average cup of coffee had about 40-60mg of caffeine in it... must be a huge cup he is using...

  • @shakedown33

must be a retard posting that comment there, a cup of coffee is about 100~120 mg of caffeine. Diet coke has 53 mg per can, you must be confusing it with that (or half of an energy drink or something) I don't blame you, you're retarded.

  • its funny cause it sounded like he said "my name is marchal brain"

  • dude change the fing discreption

  • does coffee or caffeine make u stop growing ???

  • how does four loco work? lol

  • ive been searching for this. thank you very much man.

  • Global Positioning.... Caffeine... ...Recalculating...

  • I never new that caffeine uses signals from satellites to pinpoint its exact location on Earth, any time, anywhere. It can tell you where you are, where you've been, where you're going and what time you'll get there. Find out how the Global Positioning System lets you find your way around the globe

  • @TheSystemIsNoM0Re -LoL! Decription malfunction :D

  • caffeine pills are a stupid idea. took a bunch of those and blerw chunks everywhere

  • @MountAnalogue ....then don't take a bunch of them.

  • Short and very informative

    Great video!

  • GPS FAIL

  • 0:01

  • hmmmmm. I read a conflicting explaination. I read that caffeine triggers the adrenals to release adrenaline, which rushes to the brain, and wakes the brain up.

  • Ever mix anti-depressants with high amounts of caffeine? Man, it's feels like your on speed!

  • i use caffeine only for exercise (about once a week)

  • Caffeine makes my heart thump, and blood pressure go up @_@

  • @photolitherland , I understand what u mean.Im on about 3-4 cups and I wouldnt wanna give that up as I love the whole package with coffe. The smell of roasted coffe beans in the morning, the sound from the porcelain cup not to mention that little kick it gives u ;) Its important to enjoy life.

Overall Im still a pretty healthy person(vegetarian).

  • @Starduster1000

How does being a vegetarian intrinsically make you more healthy? I don't see the logic there.

  • @photolitherland ,I suggest you cut down slowly to avoid a lot of side effects

  • cool, now i know nerve cells look like the Pits of Sarlaac.

  • @hamburgerslayer LMFAO Gold!

  • FUCK BIEBER

  • suck mah glock nigga!

  • That man gotta grab his mug , shove it in and out his white ass hole a few times , then he'll see a caffeine high!

  • Description fail.

  • @yodudewassp it travels to the neurons and reaches the synapses where it makes the neurons constantly release more dopamine and flood the uptake during the high.

  • i have been addicted to caffeine since i was 8 years old, and honestly i wish id never started, shit is so hard to just stop drinking, leaves me feeling completely depressed and shitty

  • it makes more jizz in your balls

  • sounds like a legal drug =/

  • @sharkman551 lol, maybe cause it is. lots of drugs are legal, and some of them at the same time illegal depending on what people use them for. most legal drugs are medical.

  • fat fucks

  • thats the wrong comments above! That's for a GPS reciever not cafeine.

  • 0:01

  • I think this narrator guy needs more than one cup of coffee...so fucking monotone!

  • lol it started with a starbucks ad

  • @Broodkill I kill those damn ads with F5

  • When you get sick, the body temperature raises to try to kill off antigens with inflammation aka fever if the initial immune response fails. When you get cold, your body transfers heat from your legs and arms to the center of your body where all the important organs are.

Your body produces adenosine on purpose, not to screw you over but because your body still needs rest.

Do you seriously think there will be no side effects to inhibiting the effects of adenosine with caffeine?

  • @newbiesown it's basically saying, "Oh I have a wound here, but I'm going to take drugs so I won't feel the wound therefore I can go through the day at 100% of my ability." and the next day the wound is bigger, so you're going to take more drugs so you can get through the day at 100% yet again. The cycle continues.

  • Description FAIL.

  • my brain needs to stop making adenosine when im in class

  • caffeine = insomnia!

  • I NEED MY CAFFEINE FIX NOW!!!!!!

  • fuckin magnets! How do the work?

  • i didnet think caffeine had any effect on me as a kid but now that i work and consist of energy just having caffeine mixed with taurine and all that shit watever is in a energy drink will make me wana do shit. so if your a worker caffeine is wicked!

  • fucking Shit! 28 years old never drank an energy drink or coffee. I bought some caffeine pills today one pills is equal to one cup of coffee 300mg and i felt dizzy and like throwing up and weak and like if i was going to lift off in the space lol I'm not every fucking with that shit again it's hardcore lol serious shit

  • @flupmakintosh depends on the beans and the extraction process you use

  • LOL @ the description

  • @Paiste402 lol XD

  • @Paiste402 lol all of these viedos are totally fucked up in some way, but this is somthing else.

  • @Paiste402 Lol Whats Caffeine got to do with GPS?

  • @YamiPoyo

could be the only thing keeping the monkeys in the GPS satelittes awake lol

  • @Paiste402 Nice lol. poor sputnik caffeine kills dogs.

  • @Paiste402 It's a little bit irrelevant to the video, but I guess it sort of parallels it.

  • @Paiste402 Caffeine has built-in GPS.

  • that's about right, but levels vary.

Caffeine pills typically have 200mg, and each pill costs about 7-16 cents.

  • A tall in starbucks has about 250mg

  • nescafe has 65 but a medium starbucks has 175!

  • bananas have just as much energy as a cup of coffee. caffeine sucks it's the nicotine of soda.

  • I can't believe some of the messages here hihihihiihih u guys pani

  • nice vid!

  • are you attracted to the pussy which has recently died, like i am?

  • geiuy, that could just be adolescence. Don't worry, it will go away by itself.

  • @geiuy hormones.

  • YAY! another science fact :)

  • 0:12 to the right is that Billy Mays?

  • This should be called "How Shit Works". You would totally get more views just because that would be more bold, I suppose.

  • One time I puked after drinking coffee and tea right after

  • WHAT THE HELL LOOK AT THE INFO

  • lol its way off

  • HA! everybody knows that caffine and GPS work on the same principal. ???

  • Im from Belgium and i drink beer every day

  • Interesting, but what the hell does the video description (right side of vid) have to do with the video? Maybe he didnt have his coffee, and couldnt concentrait =p

  • its just a fact

  • this is great but i think it works diferent.

  • I was drinking caffeine while watching this. The only problem is that caffeine seems to stay in my system for up to 6 horus at a time. I can't drink 6 hrs before bed or I'll fall asleep 4 in the morning. I think its because the adenosine doens't have time to build up in my brain or soemthing.

  • When I take caffeine with coffee or snacks, it makes me really sleepy instead of awake. Do you have any idea why?

  • Actually I just ate half a pack of snack called 'Caffeine Snack', which contains 150mg of caffeine. Now, I really want to sleep otherwise I can't concentrate on my study!

  • NO really it dose make some ppl sleepy!

  • Do you get that too?

I don't know if caffeine actually makes me sleepy, but at least it doen't wake me up at all. It might have stopped working on me because of my habit.

When I was kid, I would always drink coffee my mother would make, just like water. Then I started living alone as I entered university. I didn't take caffeine that much since then, but I found pleasure drinking tea one day. So now, I drink tea every day every time and sometimes drink coffee too!

  • Well i like tea better too

  • learning how my addictions work...one video at a time :)

  • haha look at the info, it talks about GPS

  • cool

  • cool vid! made it sound so simple!

  • (more info)

    What? Caffeine GPS

  • As some of the others have stated before me, caffeine is a stimulant and a drug. Caffeine can kill you, is physichally addictive(not nearly as bad as most other drugs), and can cause many long-term health issues. This shouldn't be taken lightly, same with all drugs. Fact: Marijuana is safer statistically than caffeine is.

  • what?!?! your insane

  • No, I'm actually very sane, thank you very much.

  • How is that insane? It's facts, and you're insane for disregarding them. I've overdosed on caffeine, once. But never in my life have I overdosed on marijuana. And believe me, I've tried! It's impossible, but fun as hell!

  • beetter than craack

  • @jackmosley06 amen.

  • i started drink decaf coffe

  • obviously not you.

  • ...and soda is a multiple threat in terms of addiction. you've got caffeine and high fructose corn syrup - both addictive in different ways - and often a free glutamate hidden there as well, generating the compulsive desire for more soda. mountain dew and coca cola are huge offenders in this area.

don't trust the food industry. they are exploiting your body chemistry at the cost of your health and well-being!

  • ... and artificial sweeteners are addictive, also. it's a very desired property they look for when profiling new sweeteners.

  • It's too late to have some Diet Coke cause it has caffeine.

  • Then.. if you use caffeine.. it doesn't allow the cleavege of the molecule that signalizes a energetic demand in your body.. and an extra energy is produced..

That's why the morning coffee helps to wake up..

Sorry for my bad english.. I'm a brazilian student of Pharmacy and Biochemistry..

  • Caffeine is a Phosphodiesterase inhibitor.

Phosphodiesterase is a enzyme that catalyze the reaction from cAMP to 5'-AMP.

cAMP is a celular secondary messenger, produced by Adenylate cyclase.. which is activated by glucagon and epinephrine.. hormones produced when your blood glucose level is low (Hypoglycemia).. inducing the phosphorolysis of glycogen in the liver.. resulting in extra glucose, used as a celular fuel..

  • Then.. if you use caffeine.. it doesn't allow the cleavege of the molecule that signalizes a energetic demand in your body.. and an extra energy is produced..

That's why the morning coffee helps to wake up..

Sorry for my bad english.. I'm a brazilian student of Pharmacy and Biochemistry..

  • i used to have coca-cola addiction. i would drink nothing but coke for like 2 days. i now have cardiac arrhythmia and sinus tachycardia. that's rapid and irregular heartbeats with frequent palpitations.

  • Did a doctor say it was directly related to your caffeine addiction and not genetic?

Maybe you had a genetic predisposition?

Also did things get better since you stopped ingesting caffeine?

  • Do a search for "Dangerous Caffeine Overdose" ... after watchin this... i think i need to calm myself down a little..

  • I've cut down on caffeine. I drink less than a liter every two weeks. I substituted it with root beer, but it's not the same as coca-cola.

  • Thanks for explaining how caffenie works,

this is really useful to understand. Expecially about the dangers of caffeine. Man I'm glad I'm not hooked to that drug anymore...

  • Your description is wrong!

  • Why is the description about GPS?
