Hey Rozartmix! I have another bootleg of this, too. This is the first time I've heard it on YouTube. Seems no one has read up on why it was cut and how it ended up on the end, it's no secret, but not as it's being told.
Hey hey! So I don't love doing this, but my videos are struggling to get seen because I just started my channel two days ago. But if you come listen to my acoustic covers, I'm confident you won't be disappointed :) I have a handful of vids on there, including my acoustic version of Her Majesty! My friends REALLY like em, come see if you do too please!
it does work and flow here... also, on the new remixed abbey road, the link between mean mr mustard and polythene pam sounds different and wrong compared to before. anyone else noticed or is it just me?

Mean Mr Mustard and Polythene Pam work so well together, think it was a great idea to have Her Majesty finishing the record. Thanks for posting this, I only found out the other day that this was how is was intended to be. Nice one x
Wow, thanks for sharing this! This is awesome to finally hear, as I've read about this for years. I can see why they decided not to settle on it- It doesn't quite work with the medley in that order- but great to hear nonetheless.
@Zerrith the beatles intended abbey road to play exactly like in this video, but near the end of the album production sessions they decided to take out her majesty and go straight to polythene pam. it was actually their audio engineer that kept it. the engineer (forget his name) was instructed by the label to never throw away any recording the beatles ever made together, so he cut her majesty out (literally cut it out of the reel with a knife, this was back in the days of analog recording)...
@Zerrith ...and taped it (again, literally, with tape) to the end of the abbey road master. this is why if you listen to her majesty at the end of the record, you can hear the end of mean mr. mustard and the beginning of polythene pam. he only meant for it to be taped there temporarily, but the beatles liked the way it sounded at the end of the album so much that they decided to keep it tacked on there, and they released the album the way you hear it today. THE END!
You did a good job editing Her Majesty into it's original position. It works well at the beginning, because the first note or Her Majesty fits perfectly into the last note of Mr. Mustard. Where this falls apart is at the end, they clipped the tape too soon, and it clips the last note. That's still there, and that's how you can tell it's not the original tape.
@TheBonning no it was George Michael, he was later arrested for toilet-bumming and then began a successful acting career in the role of George Clooney
you think well. that's where it was originally. but paul didn't like it so the producer moved it to the end and that's where it remained then! (thanks god, cause it's a great song, after all!)
well actualy the producer put it in as a suprise in the end, after they took it out cause paul didnt like the transition. and paul turned out to like it.
Yeah I like the new place for her majesty now

I kinda like the way everything just stops for 20 seconds, then comes back in with that chord.

this may be right, but i imagined her majesty leading up to golden slumbers because it seems like theres too much of a pause there

Thank you for Posting this, I always wanted to hear it this way, But it does kill the momentum.

the way it is released today is clearly the better choice... her majesty is a nice little diddy but definitely kills the momentum

@DavidRaglandMusic I thought Her Majesty was just an outtake tacked on by the record producer or something..?

paul's belly button is mean mr. mustard?!?
Stevesk0011 1 year ago 49
Wrong, Sir, Paul's bellybutton is Her Majesty and Mean Mr. Mustard. They happily live together in his bellybutton.

the accaull story is that paul didnt want this song and the produer chris martin put it there but at the end, not after mean mister mustard
TrevEdHaddCox 2 years ago
george martin was the beatles producer, chris martin is in coldplay. you have no vaild beatles opinion if you don't know that.

@majestikmoose9 someone dubbed the vinyl (presumably acetate) WAY too high on the recording levels.
