If you're going to play like a running back, expect to take hits like a running back. This is a big reason why a guy like Vick has only started all 16 games just once in his 8 seasons and why a guy like Manning has never missed a start. Manning is not a threat to take off for a 60-yard TD run. Manning is a threat to either pass the ball or lay down on the ground as fast as humanly possible when a defender comes within 5 yards of him.
