He had wanted 'OUT' of The Beatles since he starred in the movie, 'How I Won The War' around the time of help. She gave him the courage to 'do it'. Plus, and most important, he just plain and simple, loved her. And, loved her more than he did The Beatles.
@shatteredlamp12 Yoko was one of the reasons John left Cynthia and Julian. Yoko convinced him that Cynthia was worthless. She also kept Julian away for a number of years so that John could focus on Sean. John wasn't aware that Yoko was making his son go through the same thing John had to as a kid. Yes, Yoko seems like a better match for John, but John shouldn't have just ditched his past like that. It wasn't right. Yoko's not perfect, unlike you seem to think.
@MissBeatleBailey It's no mystery that John was a very poor father to his son Julian. What is a mystery however, is how you can extrapolate from that that it was all Yoko's fault.

She wasn't the reason they broke up, they would have broken up anyway. John purposely used her as a wedge to drive between himself and the other Beatles. It's not like she plotted the break-up, John just put her in the middle of it. Their antics like having Yoko set up a bed in the studio and always being around created a lot of tension which eventually became too much. People thought she had a spell over him, it was the other way around. John was too smart to be fooled by anyone.

Right when I heard about Yoko I never really liked her, but I guess if John actually made a SONG about her that he really did love her alot.
Most people don't like Yoko cause they think she broke up the Beatles...and come to think of it she didn't so people don't like her for no reason at all.
