@Maxobillion Yeah. It also happens to be the opinion of some of the finest CLASSICAL pianists on the planet like Angela Hewitt and Louis Lorti. How do YOU qualify your statement that Faziolis aren't appropriate for classical music then?
@piano1174 Hmm. For every one CLASSICAL pianists that enjoys the sound of Fazioli, there are several others that like Bosendorfer. I didn't say that Faziolis aren't appropriate for classical music, just inferior. It is personal preference.
@Maxobillion Your choice of the term "inferior" is inappropriate. If you do some research you'll quickly find that Fazioli equals and in many areas exceeds Bosendorfer in terms of quality of materials used, workmanship and fit and finish. Yes you have the right to your own opinion, but an uninformed opinion is useless.
@piano1174@piano1174 I know exactly how a Fazioli is made and all of its characteristics but that alone does not make a great piano. A great piano comes from the playability and sound. A lot of people love the Fazioli sound but many (I included) complain about the delicate action which is my main problem with the piano. Fazioli is a beautiful piano, but I still wouldn't take it over a Bosendorfer. That is my opinion after playing the Fazioli numerous times before I bought a Bosie.
@Maxobillion people's preference over tone or even action can be very subjective. some people say they prefer kawai's tone over bosendorfer. but for objective things we use to judge a piano (e.g. dynamic range, clarity, power, sustain, etc), fazioli is the best. and i think most people would describe fazioli's action as neutral, not delicate - me included.
Its from Miroirs, the third movement - une barque sur l'ocean. She's a heck of a pianist. There seems to be some information about her on the Cookin video posted by the same guy who posted this video.
what fun to see this! I met Paolo Fazioli at his factory as well, unfortunately my playing was not anywhere near this, but my companions were able to experiment with the fourth pedal and behave like some Lamborghini test drivers on one of the ten foot stunners. Thanks for posting, very charming indeed
I can see she loves the piano, it gives her joy!

Bosendorfer is superior for classical lovers.
Fazioli is too bright and loud. Its good for rock and pop lovers though.

What a great piano! I think that Fazioli is better than Stainway. I strongly suggest to try it!
