  • It's time we did the sensible, decent thing and enforced meaningful background checks and banned high capacity clips. Neither action should be viewed as threat to 2nd amendment rights. Please check out my video..."culture of violence."

  • @rollingcoyotes no, not the hi-caps, i like mine very much, thank you.

  • when did it go grom 6 million to 13 million jews?

  • Your an idiot... every who supports these facts are idiots.... not a single one of those country's were working democratic states. Your an idiot for thinking that regulating firearms will kill people.

  • @hayesy01223 take a look at our Govt and National Socialism and the policies that are instituted.Hummm identical are they not.

  • @jasonfulton im an Australian, i live in gun control and we arn't been killed because of it... barely 65 people a year are killed by firearms in my country compared to your thousands! and dont say i hate guns because i do own and shoot rifles

  • @hayesy01223 guns dont kill people people kill people and have been for thousands of years. From what i understood your (Australia) countries violent crime rate went up.

besides if you have read the 2nd Amendment you will understand that the right to keep and bear arms is to protect us from an oppressive govt.in which case our govt.is starting to be very oppressive.

  • @hayesy01223 From what I understand in Australia the same thing happened as it did here in the UK. That is that crimes involving firearms and people being injured and or killed with illegal guns actually increased substantially after the gun bans. If banning most sorts of guns was done to make people safer it failed.

  • @RideFreeee exactly right, what the politicians fail to realize is that implementing bans on legal firearms doesnt actually achieve anything... but it does make them look busy

  • @hayesy01223 except germany in the beginning then they outlaw guns then all hell breakes loose

  • @EndTheDenial

i dont mean blowing people away either. and it could be argued that any other rights are illusions withou the right to bear arms. yes you are right there are better things to concentrate on and i would if i could have this right secured.

  • @EndTheDenial

true, but that doesnt mean im not going to fight for my rights. i see what your saying though

  • haha love the molon labe on the end

  • Without guns, arms and the basic decency of property rights, what rights do you have? NONE! Stallin's Russia and Mao's China or the Turkey of 1911 is what u get!

  • Without guns, arms and the basic decency of property rights, what rights do you have? NONE! Stallin's Russia and Mao's China or the Turkey of 1911 is what u get!

  • @EndTheDenial

uh guns are symbolic of the greater FREEDOM- the freedom to BE free. Duh! its the most fundamental freedom of all. Guns are the secondary consequence of one's inalienable right of self defense and the protection of one's own liberties

Its what keeps the congressmen and govt in check!

  • hahaa funny video man. thumbs up! laughing my *** off

  • A Japanese pilot who crash landed during the attack of Pearl Harbor refused to surrender when confronted. He was shot ..... by the civilian he would not surrender to.

  • If you let the government take away one of your rights, they will take away all of your rights. Whether you own guns or not, gun control should scare an intelligent person.

  • you forgot the Jewish bolshevick revolution of Russia that wiped out 60million christians.

  • That is quite possibly the most unreasoned argument i have seen in quite some time. Oddly enough yes tyrants tend to be tyrannical. Mange to completely avoid the many other countries with gun control who haven’t had tyrants. Or the countries without gun control that have had tyrants. I don’t really care about the argument for America but a bad argument is a bad argument wherever you are.

  • @kenoad

perhaps if you can cite some examples we could understand your point of view, compare it to the numbers shown as well. perhaps have a reasonable debate in that regard.

  • @kenoad Cite a single fact to establish the slippery slope you would DECIEVE the American people on to.

  • Hey, in the US. It was against the law to have a gun on college property. In Kent State of Ohio the goverment shoot to death 4 unarmed peaceful protesters. This is what you get by letting the goverment be the only ones with guns.

  • Bon Jovi is on record for favoring government forced civlian disarmament.

    Dump Bon Jovi!

  • @mhstz That is pretty typical of people who want to control other people. They can't come up with a well articulated reason for it. So, they just don't argue.

  • There were 14 sheeple, or 14 Brady sock accounts

  • Great video,Thanks

  • Very good video! I want to see the liberal gun grabbers refute this one.

  • @mattxr2i They never will. I've used this argument to incredible effect on people that believe that gun control is a good thing. It stops them dead in their tracks. The myth: armed individual kill lots of people. The fact: government rounding up and starving, beating, gassing, shooting, burning, or torturing their own people was the leading cause of unnatural death in the 20th century. If you want to be safe, we need a public that can defend itself from government.

  • The second amendment isn't just about hunting, sport shooting or self-defense against crime.

It's a sort of "Break glass in case of tyranny."

That is what it's original meaning was, if you understand the context.

  • The statistics you never see on the nightly news!!!

  • The blood of our fathers, brothers, sisters, mothers, and friends is on our hands if we let the TYRANTS take what we were given. The only question you need to ask your self about gun bans or gun control is. Who will they send to take from us?

  • "You cannot invade the mainland United States.

There would be a rifle behind every blade of grass."

    - Admiral Isoroku Yamamoto

  • @DasBeck Lol, so he a a little bit of sence in his head!

  • @DasBeck I tried to find the source of this quote, and as beautiful as it is...

    Yamamoto never said it.

  • @ArmednSafe I was researching that myself shortly after I "misquoted" him. Looks like a big myth :( . But never the less, it's still a true statement lol. We still would've been armed to the teeth lol.

  • @DasBeck If every adult American was as well armed as light infantry we wouldn't ever have to worry about invasion, ever.

  • @ArmednSafe agreed my friend :)

  • @ArmednSafe Yep, see, countries were afraid to invade us, because armed citizens is a BIG defense. not only do armed citizens help against other countries from invading, but criminals hate armed citizens as well.

  • @ArmednSafe Yep. All the gun rich cities would just give guns out like candy, train them, and we would have a couple hundred million militia ready to blow the heads off of the invading enemies.

  • @DasBeck too bad the media has made owning a weapon akin to being a rapist to the point that kids in school nowadays all seem to think guns are bad.

  • @eoaroadshow I hear it. It's disgusting. It's like making cars look bad for the drivers running red lights

  • @eoaroadshow Hmmm... Isn't that surprising, the government is teaching children to hate something that takes power from the government. That is unexpected. (Sarcastic as HELL)

  • @DasBeck if we had gun control back then, guess who wouldve been paying taxes to the land of the rising sun, if not dead?

  • in this world you have to protect yourself and that shouldn't be taking away

  • @flyslasher L O L read my comment again, gimpsack

  • @flyslasher whats up can't use your fists?

  • what about the turks that was murdered by the armenians before the turks acted at 1915? everybody seems to miss out that part of turkish history!

  • only 1 in 4 americans own a gun

  • @wobinga7 75 million people owning about 120 million weapons and thats just the legal ones, Translated: we out number any possible forces sent to take our weapons, in short, BRING IT!

****The most up to date statistics on this topic DO NOT include the recent gun and ammo sales boom, it could be higher now.

  • @wobinga7 haha but the one that does owns twelve!

  • Great video.

  • leftists are pro gun control because non armed population needs strong police to defend them.

  • For anyone who thinks that guns will save us from tyrants.... please think again. A pistol, or high powered hunting rifle is no match to a tank or F-16... or any other means of warfare... sorry.

  • @ScopedOUT2 wouldn't you rather have a weapon anyway? you can pick that up as spoils with a few well placed shots. An unarmed society is a society undefended. the born free never know the sweetness of freedom, we just expect it.

  • @wvufanngarner A few well-placed shots are not going to match any kind of weapon a tyrant government would use on its people. Just remember that Saddam Hussein used some chemical warfare on his people, Stalin used starvation techniques, and with the current technology there's no matching anything.

Today any weapon you pick up on the market is basically used for PDW, Hunting or recreation. All firearms are tuned down, besides the normal restrictions already out there

Now do you see the point?

  • @ScopedOUT2 I can see your point man but I'd still rather be armed

  • @wvufanngarner The only thing it will do is give you a false sense of security LOL

  • @ScopedOUT2 maybe, but at least I will be able to shoot back and maybe take a few before they get me. Hell, any enemy force on our shores wouldn't keep me alive

  • @ScopedOUT2 If you believe in gun control, then put a sign on your lawn saying to criminals. "I believe in gun control, I don't own any guns." And if don't live in America, do that there and see what happens.

  • @Fallout3Follower read and understand what I said........

  • The Japanese commander said landing troops in the US, would have to contend with "a rifle behind every blade of grass."

  • i think the video is misleading, because it associates gun control with massacres and killing of dissidents while this is not completely true,it's true that gun control it's dangerous but depending on the circumstances, you can't assume that the killings are caused by gun control, because in every scenario there was already the thought of doing the assassinations, and gun control was just a way to make sure of it, in a somewhat peaceful country, this only makes things worse

  • So you DO understand the correlation between a disarmed person being murdered easier by their own government than someone with a gun right?

  • @Gucho123 no this i dont thing was trying to present gun control in that fashion, it was simply saying that the taking of guns(gun control) was a step TOWARD an agenda, most of which were NOT for peace keeping or "safer streets"!!!!!!!

  • Anti-gun liberals are always using the tag words "Assault Weapons" and "Automatic Weapons" I am sick of that shit, get your facts straight NO ONE can buy automatic weapons without a class 3 license.

  • yea sarcasm doesn't seem to go over well here

  • wow... I guess there are hillbillys still out there.. this is unbeliveable.. if you think that the US is trying to take away ALL of your guns.. you're retarded... i mean COME ON....they want to make sure they know who is getting them.. so some crazy ass doesn't end up with an automatic weapon and decides that he is going to go nuts on someone... there will be no way they will take ALL guns away.. but automatic weapons. of course they should be regulated..

  • tell that to all the people in England and Australia that got their guns confiscated after registration and if you don't think it can happen here well it did in California where they demanded supposed "assault weapons" were registered and then promptly outlawed.

  • @cheese8904 Automatic weapons are regulated you dumbass

  • @cheese8904

Explain to me what makes someone a "crazy ass"? You realize that no one is a criminal until they break the law right? Meaning that you can get one legally then do anything you want right?

Oh but it'll stop people who ARE criminals huh? You mean like how it stops gang bangers from having them now? What? They do have guns you say? But they can't legally get one.... so how can that be?

Here is a thought for you. If you take my guns, I can build another with crap from home depot.

  • Some very limited regulated is understandable. But we must always watch the government closely because there are nutbags plotting to take away 2nd Amendment rights. We will not wind up like Britain.

  • @JeremyPattonGuitar yes god forbid you should end up like Britain where the police are not armed, murder rates are relatively low and gun related crime is a rareity and getting rarer.

  • @benmcpeatfield Gun crime may be going down in Britain but the murder and index crime in general is up. Violent crime against women is 2x what it is in the US. You want to put me at the mercy of anyone larger than myself that may want to do me harm? Gun laws did nothing to protect Brits, it actually shifted more violent crime toward women & elderly. But you can only look at gun deaths I guess.

  • @shananagans5 Ok well the murder rate in the US is approxiamtely three times that of the UK. and for Rapes per capita, the US scores 4 places higher in the world rankings than the UK. Murders committed by youths, also higher in the US. Now, Violent and sexual crime in the UK has been on significant dowwards trend for 14 years. So i dont think your argument of crime shifting has any basis in reality.

  • @benmcpeatfield I have been involved in the study of crime for 20 yrs+ and what you say simply is not true. Violent crime in the UK has been going up for yrs with a jump when strick gun control was started. I assume you are not a criminologist so I will suggest a study that is written in a simple way. Kates&Mauser Harvard Journal of Law&Public Policy. Vol 30: Article. Would Banning Firearms Reduce Murder & suicide. There are 100s more like this one in any school with a criminology dept.

  • @shananagans5 well reports from the office of national statistics would suggest what you are saying is untrue. but then again the methodology has changed in the UK, making comparing figures much more difficult. If you are a criminologist then i would assume you would have no difficulty in referring me to your sources?

  • @benmcpeatfield Its general knowledge. Pretty much any well done study will illustrate shifts in patterns.

  • @benmcpeatfield The UCR just came out a few months ago.

  • @shananagans5 interesting, however if you compare the rates of gun ownership and murder in the european countries in the first table their is only a weak inverse trend to be found. And secondly the comparison of neighbouring countries seems to show a link between legal status and murder rates but it doesnt take into account the relativle ylower GDP per capita of these countries. So perhaos i am right in suggesting all it shows is perhaps the legilation came about (cont'd)..

  • @shananagans5 ...as a result of higher murder rates in those countries to begin with. I.e. all its showing is that countires with higher murder rates may be more inclined to enact gun legislation, but that doesnt necessarily mean their is in any way a causal relatioship between the legal status and the murder rate.

  • @shananagans5 Gun freedom advoates often make the argument guns protect civil liberty, and as this video suggests it helps stop coercion by violence. However, coercion by gun violence is probably more prevelent as a result of easier access by crinimal gangs to firearms. It may provide a deterrent against robberies, however statistically this seems weak as the US has a similar, but lower, rate to the UK. So do the pro's really outweigh the cons?

  • @benmcpeatfield You may also want to look up Kohen & Felson on suitable target theory for shifts in crime patterns with strict gun contro laws. (LOL yes, I can spell strict. )

  • @benmcpeatfield In 1996, in the wake of a mass shooting, the Australian government seized more than 640,000 guns from its citizens. According to the Australian Bureau of Statistics, in the next two years, armed robbery rose by 73%, unarmed robbery by 28%, kidnapping by 38%, assault by 17% and manslaughter by 29%. Statistics that were are already significantly low. In fact most violent crimes have risen since the gun ban. Although the number of murders is lower, it's only by about 11%

  • @benmcpeatfield According to the U.S. Justice Department Bureau of Justice Statistics, although the rates of murder and rape were higher in the U.S., England has surpassed us in its rate of robberies, assaults, burglaries and motor vehicle thefts. And the English crime rate had been rising while the U.S. rate had been falling. In 1998 the mugging rate in England was 40% higher than in the U.S., furthermore, assault and burglary rates were nearly 100% higher in England than in the United States.

  • Great vid!You made sum Good Points so thats why all my guns have Hollow Points!5*

  • great video!!

  • You sir, are an idiot.

  • Gun control effects National Security. Even though it was a Hollywood movie, Red Dawn is an example of how gun control could effect National Security. Even regulating fully automatics is hindering our National Security. When the Bill of Rights was written. The only kind of firearms that where available where musket loaders. Did they place a restriction on those back than? Advancment in firearms technology is not an excuse to regulate them. In fact it gives even more of reason to own them.

  • Thanks for posting this video. I'm of Armenian descent, and I've studied Armenian history, and I can tell you that gun control and the confiscation of weapons led directly to the Armenian genocide.

  • All these were brought about with the coming of power of a communist or fascist dictator. What needs to be checked is the motive. Most in America who want gun control have watched our inner cities turned into war zones. Just tired of watching people manipulate their argument with incomplete facts. Pres. Bush removing habeas corpus, which wipes out 9 out of 10 bill of rights including bearing arms. What's left? We don't have to house prisoners. Hey the bill of right.

  • Ok, but the video IS right about the crucial role that gun confiscation played in the Armenian genocide.

  • You give up your guns... and death will follow.

  • *Cant use it (spain) sry

  • the uk has more muggings, rapes, and stabbings per capita than in the US, go figure, the us is fucked up also but atleast we have the option to defend ourselves with firearms, and in spain you can own a gun if your part of a club, but u can use it for self defense, if someone comes in your house and murders everyone in their and when they come to you, and you shoot and kill them, your going to jail. HOW FUCKED UP IS THAT

  • Fuck Obama and his Liberal agendas!

Its all an agenda! If he gets our guns than he can pass anything to make us a Socialist Country because we can't fight back! And if we spoke out, we would be EXECUTED!

That means: No more Guns/ No more Freedom of Speech/ and No more Capitalist America, but Socialist America!!!!!!!!!

  • Right on Obama is white. His Daddy left when he was an infant his White mother raised him and had prominently rich white influences.

  • @siradon2000

    no? really

who do you think showed him how the game works ?

by himself ? HA! thats funny

  • What's going to happen in the UK?

I'm still wondering, because there's a new element in that equation; the overwhelming number of Muslim immigrants.

  • Who are you talking to Shawn. It's hilarious how you need to prove things to no one.

It's well known you are rockkkher. I can't believe you try to deny it. Then again, you deny your own comments about child rape, even though they're documented for all to see.

    Called user gay...check

    Eluded to CNN....check

    Inserted standard 'I'm normal, I'm normal' plea....check

    You're a joke.

  • You used that word as rockkkkher, didn't you.

The NWO, more childish delusions from the closet.

Your notions about Obama's race expose you for the racist you really are. Not suprising. Bigots are always like that.

I like how you don't directly respond and just make comments about me indirectly. It's what I'd expect from a little, pussy ass, bitch boy.

  • Government statistics say Gun Control is bad. Do a search for "John Stossel Links Gun Control to Higher Crime Rates". It pertains to the Gun Ban in Washington DC that was in effect for 30 years. New World Order is a very real term. George Herbert Walker Bush used it on several occasions, Bill Clinton used the term, George W. Bush used it, and even Obama has coined the phrase. I heard Obama use it on his little tour to Europe. Whether or not its an organization is up for debate

  • Just do what you do beat and hide from me, pussy ass, closet, bitch boy.

How does it feel to be shockofgod's little puppet, bitch boy? Is it a good substitute for the anal sex you so desparately want? I bet not, otherwise you wouldn't be such a childish little douche, would you?

  • GodGunsGutsGlory thinks raping a little girl is natural. Those are his own words, it's here on Youtube for everyone to see.

Oh yeah, and the user below him calls Obama a "nigger." These are some real classy people, you should pay close attention to their vast wisdom.

  • who the hell would donate to you??Im retarded remember i deleted it

  • good facts...hate that fucking song though ugh

  • Great post, thank you. The movie "Innocents Betrayed" changed my mind about guns...this clip has the same sentiment. WAKE UP people...it's our govt that has trained us to be apathetic ~ we fell right into the spider's web.

  • that movie is crazy good( informaive good)

  • revolutionaryPinhead..... kinda says it all don't it?? hope someday you get some hair on your nuts..your insight shows you are a waste of air so far skippy... rfw

  • i take offense to that.....

  • in the USA it should be a state issue and not a federal mandate.. Our needs are different in rural areas compared to urban.

  • In Switzerland i think it is, you HAVE to have a Fully Automatic Rifle in your home only like 20 people a year die.

  • False. In and after national service, the individual can choose to keep a weapon at home. It is not mandatory. And fully automatic weapons are forbidden outside the army.

Miilitary weapons are used in about 300 gun deaths per year, mostly suicides. Other weapons increase this.

In a population of 7.5m, this is 4 per 100k one of the highest rates in Europe - a rate 70x that of the UK.

  • 4 suicides per 100k, are you serious? OH TEH NOOEESS!!!! And before you qoute the UK, their crime rate with firearms skyrocketed 340% after they outlawed guns. They have a higher murder rate per capita than the US.

  • Vote for civilian gun ownership! There is a good reason why " The Founding Fathers" made it the 2nd amendment and not the third or tenth .... To protect citizens against tyrannical and powerful governments.

  • This is some nasty propaganda. anyone donating money to this guy is arming the lunatic who is going to shoot up your local post office or school...

The facts are inaccurate, out of context and not associable by argument. this propaganda montage is truely pitifull...

  • Incoming dictatorships will establish gun control as one of their earlier moves so as to prevent any armed resistance.

In countries with gun control criminals will get guns anyway. Why should only the cops and criminals have guns? What's going to happen when someone breaks into your house and you have to wait several minutes, perhaps 30, before anyone can respond. If you had a gun you might be able to defend yourself and your family, and it makes people a little more reluctant to enter a home.

  • Legalized guns do not increase violent crimes - the criminals will get guns illegally, generally speaking. Most violent crimes are due to economic problems. If the rich weren't exploiting the working classes, the problems wouldn't exist.

While many of these facts might be off - it wasn't just jews that died in the holocaust, and the number 13 million is greatly exaggerated, but the simple fact is that the only reason to disarm a populace is a plan to bring in a totalitarian dictatorship.

  • the pitiful pinhead is any person that would sit down and shut up while their govt. takes their rights away or judges a man for protecting his family. for each violent and senseless gun crime in this nation, there are millions of armed citizens that are responsible gun owners and you'd often never know who they are. it's better to have a gun and never use it than to need it and not have it. You're o.k. with having your loved ones slaughtered like in the photos? ? FOOL!

  • responsible gunowners? that's an oxymoron, you see?

Your arguements have no valid point. Look at the murder rates and crimes involving firearm in US opposed to any civilized european country. You're the pitiful one, not knowing how you are making your country rot from the core. I hope your children find the guns in your house some day and shoot their stupid redneck brains out...

Go watch Glenn Beck, you waist of space and life!!

  • what kind of sick fu** wishes children would hurt themselves??? and you say I"M making the country rot from the core?? go to hell a-hole!! I stand by my comments 100+%. What you can't stand is that my point is completely valid and makes so much sense. You went WAY too far with the comment you sick fecal matter. we'll see who survives this world longer, the radical gun grabbers or those that refuse to be preyed upon by criminals.

  • I wish your children harm, because they're your offspring. Logically i must assume that they are going to end up with the same inbred mentallity and lack of education and rational thought, as you, so therefore I wish you and yours all the worst in the world.

Have you seen the murder rates in US you ignorant fu**?

No one should be able to kill another person just like that. The fact that it's still in the 2'nd ammendment just shows how savage many americans still are. It's disgusting!!!

  • the second amendment does not say murder is permitted and if you were even an American or had a brain you could read it. You've made it quite obvious that u are not only not capable of having an intelligent debate but you're also just as sick and f*ed up as the criminals that break our laws here. I live in the US, you list yourself as in Denmark, so WTF do you care what our problems are? keep u'r head up u'r sick and foolish a** where you are clearly in your comfort zone. DO NOT reply to me!

  • Hahaha you keep checking out my profile you stalker... Your sick,,,

But yeah i will reply: Deep down in tour mongoloid mind you know that you're wrong, and that you probably shouldn't discuss grown-up issues. But when they illegalize firearms, you can get a BB gun to shoot off cans from your uncle dad's brokendown trailer...

Are your kids playing with guns:)?

  • if you like Europe so much do us all a favor and get your sorry butt out of the USA. you're really disturbed in the head and soul.

  • This is how anti gun nuts go about expressing their side. With violence and name calling. Wow way to make yourself look crazy. If you dont like this country move, no one is stopping you. You can call people names and use your labels but the fact is there are gun owners of all types. Anything from priests to college students. And they all have different beliefs, but the one thing they share is the belief that they have the responsibility to protect themselves and their families.

  • The name calling was actually started by a pro-gun nut, and I don't feel crazy for insulting back an idiot, who chose to insult me instead of addressing the issue.

I actually don't live in US and i don't hate it. I think you have a great country, but it has flaws like any other.

I respect the fact that you want to protect your family, but if every loon is able to get a gun, your people are constantly surrounded by potential harm. So i don't believe, that everyone having a gun would be good.

  • Not everyone can get a gun here. People with felonies or any violent criminal convictions cannot legally buy a gun. Only 21 and up can purchase handguns. Their are background checks. Banning the sales to legal gun owners will not take guns out of criminals hands. Even if that criminal could buy legally he wouldent,he would buy illegally because thats what he knows. A lot of those illegal guns come from mill. and police being careless. We dont want everyone armed, just the right ones.

  • Thats WAY out of line to wish harm on someones kids. You need help.

  • go sit on a landmine...

  • Hahaha....You retard

  • FUCK B J.

  • Ridiculous assumption. Lets look at all the western nations that have gun control and yet this has not happened. Its because those countries listed had crazy military dictatorships. And if you think the population having guns would have stopped that your not to bright. Scattered individuals with guns aren't much use against an organized military force.

  • fuck the turks. they need to be wiped off the planet. fukin murderous filth. it would be my absolute pleasure to choke the life out of every single turk. mongolian savage offspring. stolen land, stolen heritage. not one damn thing originally turk except savage murderous behavior

  • the last statement of this video should be our countries (USA) greatest attribute..."Most law abiding citizens are armed"...And it will stay that way until the government pries my gun from ...my cold dead hand..!!

  • Also, Texas has reciprocal agreements with 30 states, meaning I can carry concealed in their states, yet according to their concealed carry laws.

  • CA doesn't recognize any CC permits from other states. No exceptions.

Also, it's impossible to get a CC license in LA County. You have to be a high-end celebrity or work for a security company that caters to the super-rich.

    Hooray for fucking Liberty.

  • Retreao:

One, bans wont happen. 37 states have already drafted resolutions asserting states rights under the 10th Amendment. Example, Montana has nullified federal gun laws basically stating "Your gun laws dont apply in our state." That means no enforcement at the local, county, or state level of set federal laws, with federal agents arrested by state police for coming into Montana to enforce their crap. And two, few gun owners would comply anyway. "I dont have one sir, take a look"

  • "asserting states rights under the 10th Amendment"

--Yet those same states have their own firearm restriction laws, which is "infringement" anyway. Here in CA I think we have far more firearm laws than the federal govt.

"Your gun laws dont apply in our state"

--I think that law only applied to gun & ammunition sales within the state under the federal interstate commerce clause.

    "I dont have one sir"

--They'll just look at gun registration records. That's what they're for.

  • Yep, CA is rigid, IL too. But many federal proposals are much more draconian than the states, i.e. CIFTA, HR45, and UNCRC. But Montana, Vermont, and many others have virtually no gun laws.

Registration records? No registration in Texas where I am. (And most states). So I need not worry about that.

Also in Texas, if you have a CHL (concealed handgun license), they don't do a background check when you buy guns. That is done once with the DPS and FBI when you applied for the CHL.

  • super - Thanks. It's nice to hear that at least some sanity exists somewhere in the USA today.

  • "the state have no right to restrict them under the 10th ammendment"

Actually it's Article IV (so I've heard, I can't find the "supremacy clause" there).

It is precedent that the Constitution is the supreme law of the land and states must adhere to it. The 10th Amdt says the states own things NOT enumerated in the Constitution specifically. So the right to bear arms "shall not be infringed" says the states cannot suppress that freedom. Yet they do anyway.

  • i thought thats what i said.maybe its just clear to me.

  • "i thought thats what i said.maybe its just clear to me"

Sorry, you said the 10th Amdt made federal law supercede state law. It doesn't. Article IV does.

  • Japan tried it - Crime increased! (AFP News, August 3, 2001) (The Philadelphia Inquirer, 11 July 1992.)

usaisadump repeatedly cries about our 30,000 gun deaths, but its far outweighed by the 2.5 million crimes prevented annually in the US by armed citizens. (-Kleck and Gertz, "Armed Resistance to Crime," at 173, 185.) So, statistics consistently bear out - gun bans increase crime! Defenseless citizens make criminals jobs safer (as criminals dont obey gun laws.)

    Bans, clearly not the way

  • Retreao, usaisadump lives in fantasy, crying "Outlaw guns so you won't have all that crime to rid your country of."

    Sounds good in theory, but

England tried it in 97 Handgun crime rose by 40%! (BBC News)

Canada tried it in 91 & 95 Violent crime increased! (The Fraser Institute, November 2003, no. 71:4)

Australia tried it in 96 Armed robberies, unarmed robberies, assaults, and manslaughter all increased double digit! (USA Today, 2002) (The Daily Telegraph, 2002)

  • Why is that mass murders happen only in "gun-free" zones i.e. Columbine, post offices, Virginia Tech? Perhaps if even one VA Tech student had been armed and trained, much of the bloodshed could have been prevented.

Ever hear of mass murders at NRA meetings, gun shows, or shooting ranges?

  • You said, your gun murder rate is 715% higher than ours. Well, our population is nearly 900% higher than yours. So, per capita, we actually have lower gun deaths than you.

Hahahaha Again, you have no valid argument. No longer worth my time.

  • Canada=144 gun murders/year USA=9369 gun murders/year Canada popn.= 33,747,000 USA popn.= 307,151,000 307,151,000/33,747,000=9.1 Multiply Canada's # of gun murders by a factor of 9.1 to compare it to USA 144 x 9.1 = 1310 gun murders in Canada (adjusted) Now divide USA's gun murder count by Canada's adjusted gun murder count and multiply by 100 to arrive at a percentage. 9369/1310=7.15 x100=715% My argument is most certainly valid. How I cherish my Canadian education. Stay in school.
  • And for goodness sake, stop blaming our guns for crimes your criminal citizens willfully choose to commit. Instead, blame your own government for making its citizens defenseless to those crimes via senseless gun bans, which have statistically increased crime in your country. Blaming our guns is like blaming pencils for misspelling words. Get real.

  • Normally I prefer facts/figures over hypotheticals, but here goes.

    Canada has 144 gun murders/yr.

Many are committed with illegal guns smuggled from the USA.

Canada has two courses of action from which to choose.

Give our 33 million citizens each a gun to protect themselves from the next 144 potential murderers...or...

make it more difficult for those next 144 potential murderers to acquire the gun that they need to commit their crime in the first place.

What will cause less death? THINK!

  • Gun deaths may be higher here, but overall crime is lower, as guns are used 2.5 million times annually to PREVENT crime, which SAVES lives. Your bans merely make easy prey out of law abiding citizens. Criminals love gun control, it makes their job safer. If criminals dont obey the laws against murder rape robbery and arson, why would they obey the gun laws?

So you have no valid argument. Only a flagrant mouth. Almost not worth my time.

  • No youre not a chicken living in fear. Youre just naive and clueless, lacking respect for life - as statistically your gun bans cause more crime regardless of nation.

(My 9mm is not on my hip 24/7, but its always readily assessable. I value my life and vow to protect my family should the need arise.)

  • I don't understand what you mean by "assessable"?

    Please essplain.

    LUUUUUUUCY!

    Donde está mi pistola?

  • Typo, it's accessable.

  • Thid is a typo, but that was just plain funny.

    American public schools.

    He he.

  • Australia: USA Today newspaper discovered in 2002 that, "Since Australia's 1996 laws banning most guns and making it a crime to use a gun defensively, armed robberies rose by 51%, unarmed robberies by 37%, assaults by 24% and kidnappings by 43%. While murders fell by 3%, manslaughter rose by 16%."

-2Dr. John R. Lott, Jr., "Gun laws don't reduce crime," USA Today (May 9, 2002). See also Rhett Watson and Matthew Bayley, "Gun crime up 40pc since Port Arthur," The Daily Telegraph (April 28, 2002).

  • So good luck with that hockey stick.

There is no evidence of gun laws reducing crime anywhere. Only evidence to the contrary.

England: According to the BBC News, handgun crime in the United Kingdom rose by 40% in the two years after it passed its draconian gun ban in 1997

  • Canada, after its gun laws in 1991 and 1995, has not made its citizens safer.

"The contrast between the criminal violence rates in the United States and in Canada is dramatic, Over the past decade, the rate of violent crime in Canada has increased while in the United States the violent crime rate has plummeted."

-Gary A. Mauser, "The Failed Experiment: Gun Control and Public Safety in Canada, Australia, England and Wales," Public Policy Sources (The Fraser Institute, November 2003), no. 71:4.

  • You cannot compare the gun stats between our two countries until you enact and enforce a nationwide ban on handguns.

Take a look at the percentage of Canadian gun murders that are committed with illegal American guns.

We have taken care of our responsibility with respect to gun safety. When you take care of yours, Canada will benefit.

For crying out loud, your gun murder rate is 715% higher than ours. It would be higher if we subtracted crimes committed with your illegal guns. Grow up!

  • here ill put this matter to rest for u. dont compare our countries because our populations are completely diff. we as americans love to shoot, (i shoot weekly) as yall like hockey. we arnt scared we just like to keep loaded guns to rid our country of crime while yall like to put yours in prison we like ours dead. so honestly to put this to rest i dont care what our murder rate is. im happy and alive, if some1 comes after me they are eating 00buck shot. and i go on with my life.
