Wow i am shocked, I am from the UK. My son is 10 yet he is taught about British History, this includes the common wealth. He knows about the tension in the Middle east ( i think in the UK we have a mixture of cultures alot of Middle easterns so history & Geography gets taught at an early age. He is signing up to learn Ariabic, along with the compulsary French/German. He goes to a comp school. I am so shocked about the education in the US i always thought it was high class.

Too much political correctness from all sides to have real meaningful thought provoking debate so the curriculum is watered down so as not to offend any one. The internet is a good place to find some people who can actually think for themselves and don´t just accept what is fed to them.

America is cheating it's children out of a good life and a fullfilling future by these indoctrination stations but, people are too stupid to do anything about it so year by year and day by day there are more casualities from this so called "education" they'd have you believe is "perfect" I'm talking about college as well as stupid public schooling.

I really hate school because I was forced to sit and study the anatomy of an earthworm, art, poetry, and other things I can do in my own time if I wanted to. They don't even let us talk about the war in Iraq. Also, I had teachers who would put me down telling me that I will never succeed they would spit their opinions at me as facts.

Do you think I will get hired at a job if I graduate from a continuation high school? please write back.

school takes too much money and teaches mostly stupid stuff with stupid grading like for points and in my senior year in college my teachers were totally bias jerks; "i give up on trying to show this guy hes wrong not supporting affirmative action or "all anti ILLEGAL immigration is BS (gave me a bad grade for saying its 2 sided n as my advisor never helped me find job or intern) 1nce in high school "grow a brain" cause i said hunting is bad. watch my school/education video

every one is to blame. when i came to america for my last year of school i was shocked at the diffrences in english class. in africa, namibia we learned how to use propper vocab, cambridge univ. poetry, and even writting stories or book reports. in america the're reading stories like beowulf. how does reading about beowulf help you in life? no poerty. nothing on the african standards, and they say we are less educated. you americans need to learn from other countries, but your too arrogant!!!!!

I blame the hippie selfish Baby Boomer Generation that didn't really help equality as much as they thought. They dumbed down our society and test scores have been dropping steadily for the past 30/40 years. Now, these same people are the parents of college kids today, who are overly self entitled, uneducated, boorish, and selfish. People have learned to hate education and Americans today block eachother from learning. Also it's hard to find a quiet place to study, even the libaries today, noisy.

Their goal is to teach us to be obedient but dumb enough to not know what is going on with our politics and economy. They give us poor education so that we could think we have no other choice but to join the army
