all the so called 'new' wwe games are just taking stuff from the old wwe games so really its just a new skin and in those old games, you could do whatever without wwe stopping males vs females matches or allowing to go to a different part of an arena during a match. i like wwe but it could easily be so much better if they stop sticking their heads up their asses

I firmly believe that this game is better than all the last ones. I was really impressed with how detailed the story gets. The only thing I didn't like was the backstage brawls. I'm looking forward to see what they do with the next game.

In future years I'm positive it will get a better review and deserve it but now it deserves an 8.0 because of ; No.1 Shit commentary and No.2 the bugs and glitches in universe they both really need to be addressed for next year and all the other things E.G (Non-disappearing announce tables and Non-disappearing top part of the steel steps also the caws graphics are completely shit. Finally, multi-player.

To be honest I don't see all the fuss over an I Quit match. It's pretty much a Submission match without actually using submissions. You'll still need to work on body parts and such if there was one anyway so I really don't see the point. Now a match type that WOULD actually be awesome to be in the game is Special Referee. I remember how awesome it was to be Stone Cold as the Special Ref and just stun a guy as he was gonna win. THQ, make it happen.

Changing the name from smackdown vs raw to wwe 12 does not make it a reboot.. Same engine.. Same graphics.. Same everything.. Just updated roster.. Heavily scripted story mode.. And vary vary small updates to create mode.. These games are not worth 60$.. they come out every year with minor changes.. Same goes for every other game that comes out year after year after year..

People are critically acclaiming it, but they obviously didn't play SVR 2011, because this game is fairly similar to that, besides the fact that there were some slight improvements. Phil obviously hasn't played SVR 2011, because this game is barely different than its predecessor.

I hate to tell you this Phil, but I think I like the WWE Smackdown vs Raw games better. For one thing, I like the control sceme much better. Al the grapple move are down with RB and the right analong stick. Why did THQ go backings with their conrols sceme anyway? You haven't use buttons and the D Pad to control graaple moves in like 5 years. I know WWE 12 is a reboot, but I still think that THQ should have stuck with the same control sceme, especially being that's what we're used to.

Don't be afraid of change. This is the best wrestling game since the N64 games. I tried the Smackdown series, but the gameplay is no where close to this one; it's slow. I totally agree with @DSPGaming's score.

DSP did you play SvR11? I ask because all the elements you talk up are copied from SvR11. Universe mode is a direct copy/paste. Create modes are as well, except Arena which sucks anyway. Graphics are barely better. RTWM mode is complete garbage, story is stupid, reversals are ridiculously hard to pull off, backstage fights are idiotic, you only have to use one specific strategy, running grapple after running grapple until the Y icon appears. A 7.5 is way too high, the game deserves a 4 at most.

@TheRagefulReviewer I do agree with some of the things you said. Universe is the same. Create modes never really have changed much since the points system that they introduced in 2010. Graphics look the same. RTWM's story got progressively terrible. Reversals take time to "time". But a 4? No, a 7.5 is fine.

@KwesiClarke Ok so maybe a 4 is low, so maybe a 6-6.5 is deserving based on nothing new at all, and even worse RTWM experience, being forced to play RTWM to unlock the majority of locked wrestlers (Universe mode is how you get Lesnar and Goldust, probably more), and Universe is still good since it's the same. I guess the biggest fault is me wanting something good coming from a shit product like the WWE. I've been a fan since the 90s and since around 2001 it's been downhill at a fierce rate.

a fact about the reversal system, you dont have to press RT fully down, you can just make a quick press, like not even pressing and it will work, and sometimes the "RT" that appears in the guy's head is buggy, so don't count too much on it, so to reverse most of the moves you actualy have to put some learning into place, training is important to master some things in WWE specially in this one, since they changed some of the controls
