Ballard is such a bitch. Not everyone has the money or support to GO to the titanic so that's why it's BROUGHT to us. It's the damn ocean not a grave site I hate to break it to u. Items have been taken, if u dnt like it dnt go to the museums. One of the greatest stories n this ass wants to keep the experience to himself. What a dick!!
@foureleven86 Hells yeah a fact that most ppl forget is that old mother buzzard over there was PRO SALVAGE in the beginning, he is a rude arrogant pompous jackass...His tune only changed when the French screwed him over AFTER he admittedly screwed them over (i.e tv show "The battle for Titanic")...He treated one of the survivors with such disrespect it was written about publicly.....oh and dick totally hits the nail on the head.... couldn't have said it better myself!!!
I'm divided on Salvaging from wreck, one day the wreck will be no more and all that will remain are black and white photos, people are forgetting that the Titanic isn't a black and white disaster and the artifacts recovered remind people that this was a real tragedy. Pot Hunters on the other hand know Titanic's artifacts are worth a fortune on the black market, and they'll do anything to get them and sell them, including stealing from museums and private collectors
