They have no interest in protecting the the constitution or bill of rights. They are only their to quell or remove people the powers that be want out of the way.
UT Austin is a terribly overrated university. The high-drama and venality of UT Austin started back several decades ago: the venality persists until this day. A lot of my civil rights were violated when I attended UT Austin as a student. It's like a totalitarian police state and people need speak out against this. Because this is a dangerous college. And please check out my YouTube lectures for more details.
I thought the whole of America was the free speech zone. I really liked John Bush's Agenda 21 tie into the Austin City Council's meeting. Nope didn't sound crazy or conspiratorial to me. Am I wrong or did they just continue to vote it in 7-0. It's hard to sit home and do nothing but promote and post your videos, and to all of you - Keep up the good work.Hip Hip Hurrah for you..for us. I thank you.
Any student who attends a state university that has "free speech zones" should immediately demand a refund of their tuition. "Free speech zones" at a public university? I have never heard of anything as preposterous as this.
@nitinopp - she was asked to leave ILLEGALLY because it is a public campus and the police are not LEGALLY allowed to stop a legally Constitutional gathering. They are only LEGALLY allowed to stop a CRIME IN PROGRESS. Have you never had to deal with the police prior to a crime happening and they say there is nothing they can do until a crime happens?
@OriginalMamaBear Well technically it works like this. If a person has been asked to leave the campus by a member of the university while the police are present, the police are forced to enforce the request. If the person still refuses to comply they are officially trespassing. While Public Universities may be "public," they still have moderate sovereignty. I'm not saying what they did is right, i'm just letting you know it was completely legal.
@nitinopp They never asked me to leave the campus, nor John, nor Dan, nor Robin. That was what was so absurd. They merely asked us to go to the "free speech zone." I thought the whole of America was the free speech zone. :)
though i disagree with chadas views on the war her rights were clearly violated which is in violation of her constitutional rights just by asking a simple question which could of been answered with i do know or i dont know go here to find out
Your wasting your time . White people can't cry civil rights abuse. Because they have no or very little civil rights. They only have the rights that a minority allows them to have. Think about it. Change the characters in this story to some other minority group and see what kind of coverage they get. And see what they can get away with. Nah... doesn't matter because they would never be asked to leave anyhow.
goons are being trained to violate constitutional rights.. anybody that protests becomes the systems terrorists... How odd... Really, freedom, liberty, civil rights? for who?? really... maybe the rich only... everybody else is a slave of the corporations.. when you have govt. and corporations united, this is what you get? Corporations running the show and the puppet govt kneeling down to suck cock..
This arrest should cost that b-tch @ssed NAZI COP his job!!!
The woman in this clip was NOT doing anything wrong when she was arrested! She was simply asking the cops to clarify the law, and the NAZI SCUMBAG lost his patience! He has no business being a PUBLIC SERVANT if he can't find the time to explain the laws he is trying to enforce. My bet is, HE COUNLDN'T and she was showing him for his lack of training.
Corrupt bankers have formed alliances with corrupt corporate leaders and corrupt politicians. These alliances have established a Shadow Government that has hijacked our Republic. Thus, our nation is now adrift towards an abyss. We have allowed The Federal Reserve Act, The Patriot Act, The Military Commissions Act to stand. They are Unconstitutional an need to be repealed. The Iraq war costs $28 billion every month, but does not make us more secure with our boarders wide open.
I am a hardcore democrat, but I will agree with these two individuals.. They had the right to freedom of speech, freedom of press, and right to assemble. The university of tx police dept should be completely ashamed of themselves and should be stripped of their badges.
The great thing about America is that we have the right to have our own opinions of political parties. These are the tactics of hitler and the SS, and should not be tolerated.
I'm a conservative and probably disagree with all of her politics, but she clearly did nothing wrong and her civil rights were clearly violated by UT Austin. Also, the guy in the video is also a conservative, and I doubt he believes that woman's politics either, but look at him defending her rights! He is a great American, he also was arrested for the same thing as she was. Texas4AcctGovt ought to be commended for bringing this outrage to the public's view.
You said, "I just got me a cop uniform. I say kiss my feet feeble carbon emitter"
With that attitude you will make many a "carbon emitter" rich, and hopefully just as you are about to get that pension for being a scumbag @ssed pig all you life, treating people like sh-t, you are either sh-t on duty, because your backup decided you're a prick and didn't show, or you lose your pension cause you get sued by someone's whose rights you violated and die alone and broke!
@JoshuaSkye That isn't stupidity, that is courage. Would you call the civil rights protesters of the 60's stupid for protesting segregation because it meant being firehosed, or having dog's sickened on them? Even though she didn't face violent opposition, only arrest, it's still a courageous act to stand up against unlawful authority.
she totally understands the English language...3 times the cop told her to nicely fuck off,, she harassed the cop.. shut up and list twocan chew.. ,,, she got what she deserved.... get over it...
@bambam4LSU You said, "she harassed the cop." Apparantly, you have no understanding, whatsoever, about ouor rights to ask a PUBLIC SERVANT to clarify the law. Cops don;t get to bark orders at ANYONE other than the guys under his command, which mean other PUBLIC SERVANTS. He is NOT our boss. He is NOT her boss. He is NOT, "in charge" of sh-t! He is a PUBLIC SERVANT whose job it is, EXCLUSIVELY, to enforce the law and obey the constitution.
@FreeinTX I know my rights,,, you ask me something 3 times I'm gonna tell you to fuck off... she was being stupid, tested the cop and lost... haha.. stupid ass chick knew damn well she pushed his buttons.. I would have done the same... now go and post her bond... do the white thing right... haha
@bambam4LSU Obviously you do NOT know your rights if you think she did anything illegal. She and the others arrested have a HUGE lawsuit because their civil rights were violated. And it is a sad state when citizens think like you do. That is how Hitler got as far as he did. Those who followed him blindly were titled "Convenient idiots" for good reason.
@OriginalMamaBear Im a died hard liberty and freedom loving America,, I respect all the amendments the 2nd the is my best,, but damn the girl didnt know when to go away,, how many times do you think your gonna stand there , with someone, in your face, asking you the same thing 3 times..but then again you must be a Liberal..
@mckdlee Your argument is absurd. Life, Liberty, the Pursuit of Happiness, those are unalienable rights as we are blessed with them naturally from God. But the right to vote, protest, peacefully assemble, are constitutional rights and are not unalienable, but because they come from our founding fathers and not God you are willing to let them be taken away? You have little understanding of constitutional law nor the concept of limited government. Please read the constitution and know it well.
@DOHC2L Yes, I'll grant you that voting is different, but traveling, assembling, speaking are all Constitutionally protected rights that come from those unalienable rights that come from God. Read your Declaration of Independence, the Constitution and the intent of our founding fathers found in their writings. Read about the ones who didn't want the Bill of Rights because then the list would be taken as exhaustive. Read the Federalist papers and the Anti-Federalist papers.
Obummer cronies at work...POLICE STATEin OUR COUNTRY HAS STARTED (HEROES) Chanda Seymour and John Bush have been arrested for exercising their rights of free speech and peaceful assembly at the Obama event in Austin! Please contact APD @ 512-974-5000; and let them know what you think of them violating the first amendment. You can also call Travis Co. DA Rosemary Lehmberg @ 512-854-9400
UPDATE "John, Chanda, Dan, Robin all getting out at midnight for $20 bail a piece by midnight tonight, collection taken up and bail is covered ..THERE SHOULD BE AN UPRISING AT THE UNIVERSITY OF TEXAS!! I cannot BELIEVE THIS IS HAPPENING IN MY CONSERVATIVE STATE!!! UNBELIEVABLE!!
CIVIL RIGHTS ABUSE! SHAME ON THESE OFFICERS-VIOLATING THE FIRST AMENDMENT!!!
Although our fellow patriots will be released as of midnight tonight, we must contact the Austin Police Department as stated above and DEMAND a full public apology and also contact the Travis Co. DA and demand that all charges be dropped immediately! We are not a police state!
I am proud they are standing up. However, they need to realize inherent rights are a part of you. The zone where speech is free, is wherever the hell you are! You don't need the Constitution or the Bill of Rights to guarantee your rights, they were endowed by your creator. Whoever you think that may be. Rights are inalienable and inherent. Just like your life, they belong to you regardless of some government "rules".
@CrystalTexian The problem I have with your thought of rights coming from a creator, is you cannot prove the existence of said creator. This could be used by tyrants to show your rights do not exist. At least one can prove the existence of the Constitution/BoR. Obviously, neither the BoR, nor your creator have ever shown up to the scene to save anyone from anything. Your rights come from yourself and others, only as far as you are willing to protect them. To the elites, might makes right.
This is like complaining that you were robbed to the guy that robbed you. That you expect justice from this criminal government is laughable. When enough people realize the futility of seeking redress from a government that doesn't give a shit, then we might see some real change.
I also noticed a sickening display of apathy from the other people there. WTF!!
