  • Alphas ay kadalasang nabibigo dahil sa silay predictable. Their behavior is so repetitive that the people around them learn to work with it – or work around it.

  • Huh?

  • is this video talking about people or animals?

  • @1redism people are animals

  • She needs to check her hypotenuses...

All an Alpha male or female is, is someone who has the right stuff, knows that they do, and is able to utilize those qualities to lead groups of people effectively and consistently. They come in all shapes and sizes, evil and good.

  • Sure is sexist in here.

  • She doesn't have this charisma.

  • I have not experienced "compassion" in ANY alpha. Though, I've known them to be especially charismatic. Also, alpha ANYONE is monumentally difficult to please. Alpha females again, in my experience, will view other females as competition while the B females will, to a LESSER extent, view other females this way. I cannot speak for the males, however. Synonyms of compassion: sympathetic, empathetic, understanding, caring, solicitous, sensitive, warm, loving. Does this describe the alpha female?

  • shes using the term species???lmao is that correct??

  • WHY ARE THEY SO MEEK AND SOFT SPOKEN?? WHERE ARE THE PLUCKED CHICKENS? THE FLYING FISTS? BAH.

  • i don't think being competent, compassionate and ambitious at the same time qualifies as being an alpha female. Alpha male's according to her theory are unreasonable, pompous, have a constant need for attention and are eccentric. Why should women be judged differently?Women are capable of being equally eccentric. Why can't a guy who's ambitious and compassionate be an alpha male?. This theory or observation is not completely objective.

  • wtf? calling peopl 'creatures' is kind of fucked up lady. just MY OPINION. idk if it matters to you or not but holy shit. I know we're animals and we're biological but holy fucking shit it sounds so degrading.

  • @maxwellpassion how to can it be so degrading? humans are cruel

  • "Do you have to be an alpha yourself of have alpha strength to effectively manage an alpha or can a different personality type still be an effective manager of an alpha?" That's a very good question. In my experience, having an alpha sister is not an easy task to deal with because of her domineering and competitive nature, which is totally opposite of my personality. I kind of agree with her viewpoint on how different alpha females are. They're very individualistic and authoritative.

  • Alpha personalities? What the fucking am I hearing? Sounds more like a narcists and/or a sociopath. Business people are such a slimmy, stupid, corpate cocking sucking faggots. Everybody can get a degree in business.

It's all about who's cock you suck and how big is it, and it is because of poeple like you thinks are like that.

  • She talks of an alpha male as a somewhat unintelligent type of person who is very self-absorbed. However, how should I deal with a very keen and subtle alpha male who uses shoulder pats and calls me "buddy" even though we're at the same status in an organization? Like someone else below mentioned, the alpha male I think of is overbearing and "dominating".

  • BOMBSHELL: alpha males cannot be compared to alpha females unless you remove gender altogether!! In an exclusively male group their may be an alpha male, likewise in an exclusively female group their may be an alpha female. However, in a mixed gender group there is simply an alpha!! And can be male/female/whatever. Why is this important? Alpha's have common traits - however our perceptions of gender usually influence (and incorrectly so) how we would like to perceive an alpha.

  • Volume low

  • I thought I'd tuned into the HarvardBusiness channel, but it turned out to be the HarvardBollocks channel.

What the hell was Gill going on about? It just seemed to be a load of rambling nonsense.

  • People are more nuanced than to be simply lumped into two or three categories.

  • @Ragitsu true!

  • @TheK1N1

    Thanks for noticing.

  • The best solution is to punch these "Alpha" fuckers in the face. That's how I lost my last job but it was worth it to witness the humility he (my manager) demonstrated at the losing end of physical combat. Yes it went that far. He cried and wined like a coward. So called Alpha people (they are really just bullying assholes) show aggression to compensate for their deeply rooted insecurities. People who need to dominate others deserve only a fist in the face. it's the best cure ever invented.

  • @socksumi

If he was wining and crying, he wasn't an alpha in the first place.

    You are his alpha!

Bullies aren't true alpha's too. A true alpha leads and doesn't have to proof his strength.

The woman said there aren't that much alpha's, which is true. Having a certain job title doesn't say what you are inside.

  • I was a peculiar child, bt not essentially an alpha. I learned how 2 reference & channel all things good, cool, romantic, sexy & successful by all types of media from songs, artists, movies, dancers, tv shows, leaders, actors, athletes, heroes, gods, motivational speakers- ..whatever I had seen, read, or heard in my life, that I thought was useful, i remember & recall at will.

Its not rlly difficult 4 an unalpha person 2 research what apha is & become it. Its actully bcome a part of me by now.

  • unspecific, very fuzzy and it seems prejudice-stenched - harvard business? great...

  • Dear viewers:

As you are surely aware, one cannot be an alpha female unless one is of the following species:

    -ring-tailed lemur

    -spotted hyena

If you are a female who identifies herself as an 'alpha' and is not a member of these species, it is simply the case that you have penis envy and a hormone imbalance. If you are male and believe that women can be dominant in anything but complaining and embroidery, then it is a wonder that natural selection hasn't wiped you out yet.

  • Ha...Oedipus Complex...or for women...Electra Complex. Apparently I ([{subconsciously]}) want to poke my mom...only to grow fustrated at failing to do so so I turn to 'alternatives'. I just wish the hooker didn't cost so much.

  • I agree with COETMOR, the coach does not come across as very informed. Second question 'aah ummm that's a more difficult question....ummm aaahh, I think, aah umm, you know aah umm. "Key to working with Alpha personalities" subject not addressed at all. Disappointing

  • Alpha female = Mean girls movie

  • Alpha famale are intellegent and active members of our society but they underdeliever and see themselves as more than what they really are. creativeand or unique they are not also they dictate rather than lead which for the most part put them at a disadvantage!!!!!! Kevinues

  • I loved the way the interviewer tried to hit on Gill, that was so akward nice try though, priceless :)

  • I think Alpha females are just as common as Alpha males, but instead of needing to overpower with force and aggression, they simply use emotions and victimization to portray themselves at a disadvantage and prey on the general compassion of males.

  • you took the words right out of my mouth

  • @ajlepisto They also use looks and sexuality.

  • @Wargoat6 Yeah, this is true. But, so do some men. I don't think an Alpha female has to be attractive physically to be "Alpha." Just dominating in some way or another in personality.

  • Thatcher is/was an alpha male. The Queen channels the establishment - she does not exist as a person.

This woman "talks a lot, but (s)he's not really saying anything"

  • through my own experience I have seen one alpha male boss. I managed to adapt with. I Gave him the respect he needed. I talked only when I was asked for an opinion, otherwise I keep quit and observe. He was very experienced and demanded the people around him to work very very hard. I have a good relation with him. He respects me and when he assigns me to do something I make sure I give it my best. I respect myself by focusing on my work, and trying not to stick my nose in others business.

  • Don't consider Margaret Thatcher an alpha female. I think her charisma came form the fact that she had a mission and a goal and fought intensely towards it even though it wasn't hers to start with, so she wasn't a self centered person.

  • I thought alpha male or females were attention grabbing arrogant self centered people and usually not that competent, but very competitive.

They may appear self confident, however they use arrogance to intimidate others, and manipulate attention towards other peoples mistakes and their own successes only. This way everybody around gets the impression they are the strongest. I see them as bullies and usually run away as soon as I spot a specimen.

  • Splendid!

  • Comment removed

  • Was Bernie Madoff an Alpha Male? He is a species that belongs in a cage!

  • Is she talking about people or wolves>?

  • I disagree with her supposition that alpha females are more compassionate. This simply isn't true in my experience. Female alphas are far more likely to portray themselves as victims (often pointing at their gender as justification) or rescuers in order to gain social status. This is not charisma, but is often mistaken for charisma.

  • @GoodHeartedOne "Female alphas are far more likely to portray themselves as victims... in order to gain social status" This sounds contradictory for me because to gain social status one needs to gain respect and one doesnt gain respect from others by making them feel sorry for oneself and pitying oneself. Alphas, male or female, are leaders, and people never follow someone who they perceive weaker then themselves

  • she made it a point to mention a short attention span... someones been womanized in their lifetime.

  • I was thinking, "... because she is such a bore."

  • Whenever I watch things like this I start comparing myself and eventually feel bad!

  • @CloudOutLouder You can use it to train your mind in positive self-talk. The more you're confronting yourself with these things and practice to think in a confident way, the sooner you will conquer it and the easier your mind will handle future challenges cuz you will build more and more positive and strong thinking habits/patterns and your mind will run on autopilot! Hope your now feeling better than before 3 years

  • People behave differently sometimes and they have not clear personality model very often. Very often people bahave according to the situation and different each time or according to their feelings or problems in mind at that moment. Sometimes rude people are taken as alpha or D in DISC model. 7:55 Very good answer I guess so, well soft like bear and observe only? ;) Nice movie, btw I guess you have strong personality too and you are very family woman, don't you? ;)

  • 9:12 Great answer! I agree with that there should be individual key found each time. Unfortunately some folks use schemas, keys at the interview process becuase they ask for key or schema and use it without thinking. Coaching is taken from sport where is mentor(master)-student relation not politician(with position of power)-victim.

  • Thanks be to God you didn't mention about Pat Russo or Hillary. ;) 6:20 I don't like such questions about what is the key or how to recognize via schema or something like that. Such point of view flatten problem and destroy what is important the most of but I understand you lead this interview and you had to ask such question.

  • great video .. very informative .. thank you so much .
