Ato would have won Olympics in 1996 if it wasn't for Donovan Bailey's antics.

1997 he got a cramp no one was running better than him then and he showed that by winning the 200m.

By 2000 Mo Greene was the superior sprinter of the 2.

@burksizm In 1997 Greene had run two 9.90 coming into those World Champs (one to win US Nationals and another to beat Boldon, Fredericks, Bailey, Montgomery, Christie, etc. in the rain in Lausanne)....I'd say going into final that Greene & Boldon were favourites. Greene had cramp too, but put his hand up at the start so he could ease it out.....shame Ato didn't get 200m Gold in Sydney - he should've ran away with that race really

Ato Boldon the greatest third place finisher.Ato Boldon was also a heat specialist;no one could beat him in heats and other qualifying rounds leading up to final.
