Maybe dodge has changed for the better. Dad had a '01 Dakota and they were supposed to recall it for that year b/c of the tranny. Two weeks ago, he traded it for a new Accord. But I think that this could be better because he was getting 12 mpg avg. on the truck and it was a 3.9L! So we'll see what dodge brings to the table.

dont buy it unless you dont mind all the hidden fees that pop up hmmmmmm entire brake system replacement.3.5k 9 transmissions. two rear axle swaps. 3k bearing seize in front passenger wheel. 800bucks. it looks cool but is a real money pit and loves to hang out at the dealership getting fixed. gets great mileage and i like my interior still, still had to buy the dashes,,,they cracked even the overhead one. so good luck when picking your next cool truck. do you honestly think they make them the same as they did in the past bvak25? sorry about your luck on your truck, my dodge has 200 thousand miles with the original tranny and engine so i'm not sure where yours went wrong.
