Can't tell you how many times the NBC NY clock came in handy when working at WMGM-TV NBC 40 (Atlantic City, NJ), always having to reset the clock in Master Control so everything stays according to NBC TIME.
Actually almost 25 years old. There was also a 1992 recording with the G.E. Smith incarnation, though there were only a few "proper" SNL Band songs, most were songs with lyrics that Smith had written.

I used to work master control at KMOT(NBC)-Minot, ND. While I played commercials I would turn it up and listen to the band play during the breaks.

I wish my network would just not do commercial breaks and let me listen to them between sketches.

YesacWurzbach 2 years ago
@YesacWurzbach tape LOL i haven't heard tape used since the early 90's. Man did i hate tapes. CD were much better than tapes.

Thanks for this audio clip.
I wish there were more clips/audio of SNL's house band, but sadly there isn't.
