Videos not bad but to kick it up to Montreal "style" We use unbleached organic flour Another idea is use a BBQ and a bag of wood chips soaked in water only bad thing is you can only make four or five
Made bagels yesterday and made exactly the same mistake re: parchment paper. I have never had anything stick so bad (even with non stick pans and cornmeal on bottom)!! USE PARCHMENT! ....
they look amazing! when my sister and i were younger, we used to have bagels all the time. since we moved, its near on impossible to find any bagels. i reckon i'll use this recipie to make for her. she'll love them. thanks so much!
The final instalment in a great video ‘how to’ for Montreal Bagels. Once again, you should consider submitting this, and any other relevant videos, to the Canada’s Got Treasures collection by joining our YouTube group (/group/TresorTreasure). It would be made available on our channel and website. Help celebrate Canadian diversity!
My intent when I started doing these videos last year was for people to be able to learn to make these recipes for themselves, and not just watch them as some kind of show. I'm glad to see that it is starting to happen. Thank you for your kind words.
I have just made perfect bagels.I was in Canada 4 months in 2006 and now that i am back to Europe, i have started to miss bagels. I didnt even imagine i could make them. Now i found your perfect video and tried to make them and they came out perfect ! They do not taste like from the supermarket though. But i think that should be a good thing . That must be the homemade taste. I wonder though, how to make the apple cinnamon ones. Those were nice. Thank you for this video. I love all your videos!

Made these today and they came out AWESOME!
Used Goya Malta and Bread Flour.
They don't look too pretty, but man, the flavor is like nothing else.
Thanks danrt50 !
