totally agree on the info about the game. it is so dam hard to research anything on there site, there just isnt anything there. i have been playing since release, it is a good ame but they are lacking alot of things. for one you cant even effectively aoe grind in this game really. you can but not like wow. i have always loved aoe grinding, it is fast fun and easy, not in this game tho. some of the mechanics they added for some classes are rediculouse. backlash/explosion for one, retarted.

mhh :/.. not a big fan of the debuff when you're in low lvl zones.. no fun, and i actully don't like that they level you up for the RvR things.. I dont want them to change my characters strength :/

Thanks for the review. I'm in America and I'm not sure if there is any difference in the two releases as far as bugs and stuff goes, but at least I have an honest opinion to go by and know somewhat, what to expect when I get the game. I've been wanting to play it, and hope to get it soon. Thanks for the review.

One criticism I have is you are expecting a newly released MMO to be comparable to an MMO that's been out for nearly 4 years. Of course the website isn't going to have an encyclopedia of knowledge for you to rummage through yet, it's got to allow players time to experience the stuff first hand before they ruin it. Also, the game isn't completed, no MMO is ever completed, and it's silly to think of it as a game that should be completed.

This is one of the smoothest MMO launches ever, great game.

Near as I can figure you yanks got a good and smooth release, we europeans did not, there wasnt enough room on the server and that is when they worked.

WOW was a full and released product here in the UK at launch, sure it had bugs but it was done, there was everything there to play, it plan without lag and queues from day one, that isnt he case with WAR.

I've been playing in UK from release and had none of those issues really, I get ques at peak hours but only a maximum of 3 minutes which doesn't bother me. I think the main issues are the way the game is more focused on pvp, if you just play pvp you don't have travel problems or boring mobs or shoddy loot (i think renown gear is really well done). I've played the pve side too and I liked it but I personally enjoy the pvp more and that probably changes my view on the game

Actually WoW had a lot of basic info on it organized pretty well on the main site, stated plain and simple, in writing. I picked up on what cptmachine is saying as well while trying to research basic info about this game. It all came from a mix of developer podcasts on youtube, reviews on gamesites, etc.

As far as a your WotLK comment, I think they definitely wanted to release before the next WoW expansion, but the game was slated for June,then pushed back.So how big of a factor that is I dunno. Also, one thing you have to understand that bugs, and errors are things that get fixed. I played WoW when it was released and I remember loot lag, bugs with skills, etc. I think people who love WoW will love WoW no matter what. WoW didn't start with 8-10 Mil. subscribers on release.

Yes, my whole point is not that warhammer is an awesome game, and you have a poor opinion, my problem is that in which you are basing your opinion. And the question of an expanding universe, and what is yet to come is obvious there is something not in the game, but even at launch, the content that is available, you haven't seen. Overall you are a good reviewer, but I think this one should of waited a little while until you hit end game.

My point on the game is no an issue, yes i think the game is a good game, but is it finished, and did you even play the whole retail? The answer is no. From the start, from the tone of your voice it is obvious you did not enjoy the game. And no, i can't pass judgement because I, myself have not played the whole game. If i review wow at level 12, or 16, how much of the game am I missing? How much content is there that I haven't even seen? Thats when a game gets deep.

I can understand where you coming from, I really can, your example is a perfect example of what not to do when reviewing a game. However the debate falls down when you realise it isnt possible to ether experience all the content or finish the game. MMO are just not built that way. To make the game viable as a business body it will constantly expand or die so I know there is stuff to do that I have yet to do as its not even there yet.

Despite that fact this game isnt finished, its close but theres still simple errors and bugs that would have been stamped out in beta, however with WotLK over the horizon the decision was made (and rightly so) to get the game out early cause the shadow of that expansion would have killed WAR dead. Sure people would have played it but not in enough numbers to make back the millions spent making it. Games are released when it cost more money to keep making them than it does to simply release it.

Yepp, but I don't think that it was as a good thing to do that. Yes wow is the leading MMO out there witch pritty mutch sucks. People that wana make a wow killer stress to mutch to gett it out fast, in this case befour WOTLK, so that they don't see the game throu. War will have it hard now, people will go to WOTLK so war will have there chanse in half a year or so. So if they make it finished and and more content, eat the critic they have gotten and fix it. Then they will puch WoW.

Now there is a fact betwin wow and war that you need to have in mind. WoW started with a lvlcap of 60 lvl and war has with 40. Mean that both wana but as mutch game time in those 60 / 40 lvl that is possible. In wow's case you lvl faster then in War that meaning. So saying that him reviewing the game at lvl 10 isn't the same as lvl 12-16 in WoW. + In wow the game dusn't start undill like lvl 30-40. War start earlyer, so there isn't anything telling that the game looks differant at lvl 40 then 10

2nd.So once the end game gets some play, the bigger, higher level instances get cleared, then I think then is the time to pass judgement.

Why does the world have to wait months for judgement to be past on this game, its a comment that is repeated time and time again and I think by people who really do enjoy playing WAR (which for me isnt an issue).

What you need to realise is that all reviews regardless of the source is the opnion of the author and everyone including yourself has already pass judgement on the game. Yours is most likly that is game is awesome, that is fine. Mine is that its unfinished and shallow.

Mind you, I think that the cut classes make it a bit unfinished. However, calling it unfinished and only going 1/2 way through the game... is... well... ignorant to be honest (not trying to be offensive here, at least you gave it a chance). Imagine, for example, leveling to 30 in wow and judging it off that.

I am just saying that most of all mmos don't open up til level cap. I played wow and can tell you the real game opens once you do the major instances. I like the game, I am currently playing it, and would not review it yet just because i haven't played it. Its like playing one stage of a game and then reviewing it. Pqs at 10 i am sure are not as good as those at 40.

Well, I'd start by saying that insted of me Replying every one that arn't smart atm for this review I'd just sum it upp in my comment instead. I think this guy have done I good review and I don't think that any of the reviews from any of the big game sites or so will tell you anything diferant then he just did. (2) What it just dus is make you wait longer for a review. Now I havn't played War anything, but I have watched as a f...ing maniac on web to gett all info I need to answere if this is a good game to swap WoW for. And off all I have seen it dusn't seam too last that long. As soon as you sack the city it is more or less over nothing more after but doing it again. I see it as they just wanted it out befour WOTLK to hopfuly catch some wow players befour they buy wow again.(lol. one more coming)

(3) Now I don't see that to have bin a good idée, cuz I have heard many WoW players that they swaped to War and atm has just come back to WoW again. Yes the RvR (PvP) system is soo mutch better then wow but the PvE isn't even close. If you wana play vs other people just then I don't see a point in paying for it. Go to a privat server or somthing. For me I won't swap from wow to this. I hope that they will make me do it later but as it looks now I won't gett anything better.(LoL so long comment)

Sorry, but to have a review this early is just wrong. Most major magazines haven't because they can't. Even with AoC, any responsible reviewer didn't do so until a month after release. Unless this is a beta review which the title does not indicate.

You seem to take issue with the fact that I'm reviewing it like its a beta, the horrid truth is it still is, sure is has more polish since open and a hell of alot more since closed. However people have been asking me to give a review and I honest think I have done most of what the game has to offer at end game. I've done PvE, PvP, RvR, Sceanrios, Public Quests, Instances, Keep Sieges... thats pretty much it except city sacking.

Give WAR some time. It just released about a week and a half ago. Now, that might sound like an excuse, but nevertheless, it's a pretty fair excuse, especially for a MMO. That's all I can say, give it a bit more time to develop/release more patches, etc.
