Saw Paul last week at Godfrey Daniels in Bethlehem, Pa. A true monster. Soulful, powerful, the real deal. Did a smokin' version of one of my Muddy Waters favorites, "Long Distance Call". Damn.

Paul, again, proves he is the Man. All the leather panted, snake skin booted hot shots had better get his permission to take a blues pee-pee. Paul is blues to the core; Muddy got it from Son House and passed it to Paul-The Linear Sucessor. On harp, piano, melodica, slide, accordian, chromatic, hell, Paul could coax blues from a bicycle pump.
