  • Going back to the reformation how do they feel today about Luther's position of the foul practice of indulgences being sold these indulgences promising salvation for a price. The idea that salvation could be sold out by the church was absurd and even more so because it was practiced with the approval of Pope Leo X.

  • @mrlittlemarvel That is incorrect. Salvation was not sold, that is protestant propaganda. Indulgences are won with good deeds, if you help to build a church, that is good for the whole church. The protestants started a devilish revolution that never ends.

  • @SanJuana1985 But still earned I find that the doctrine of indulgences contradict the parable of the prodigal son. Now what I am saying that we are not free to sin but we do not save ourselves and we cannot pay the debt of our sins. We live for Christ and when we die in the faith we gain. If purgatory was real then how may we gain in death as Paul said in Philipians 1:21.

  • @mrlittlemarvel aRE YOU OBEYING ALL THE 10 COMMANDMENTS? Are they only suggestions? If you do not follow them, are you still saved? DID CHRIST DIE , so you could sin witthout remorse? IT IS GRACE+FAITH+WORKS. Even in our world, if you work hard, you get the reward. If you slacked off, you are punished. James 4:18-26
