Great upload... Richard Hell's version is quite good too. Have you noticed how water is a constant feature in John Fogerty's songs? Starting with the band's name - that sounds like some sort of southern Baptist church - and then: Have You Ever Seen The Rain? Who'll Stop The Rain, Green River, Born On The Bayou, Proud Mary with its "Rolling on the river" refrain, etc...
This is the first time I've heard this song in 35 years! I seem to remember a different voice singing it in the mid-'70s. Does anyone know who (if anyone) else sang it?

Personally I've always preferred this version.
