But to continue like you said about relationships, perhaps a guy is physically attractive but it's quite obvious he's a jerk, it would be pretty blind to use magic to attract someone like that wouldn't it? Its certainly unwise in the long run. Since you brought it up let me explain more about what I mean, as far as agency is concerned I am speaking of the nature of what you're dealing with. If we're talking about a person, it may very well be a limited view of self - likely ego, which is not to imply negativity but just limited sense of self rather than seeing oneself as spirit. After watching this video I came to the conclusion, that the use of the term "magic" is completelely redundant, unnecesary and tautologic. All that has been presented is what in academic philosophy we call "intentional acts".

I think it would be interesting if you would go into a psychological interpretation of why some ritualistic magic works (such as love spells). You've beat around the bush for a bit, but I would love to see you take a tear at magic and how it isn't real.
