  • I liked the girl who did the straight sword, she did that one pretty well :)

  • good video fam nice capoeira n eagle claw just hate da fact that the guy keep sticcin his hesd in the middle of the camera

  • Yeah this is getting silly. I will post when training, life or three kids stop getting in the way. Don't worry I will be more then happy for all ya internet warriors to cretic me. Just got a new job so my broke ass will finally be able to buy a new digital cam. ( Even High Def for even closer Evaluation!)

  • Dont get upset brova...we just want to see you perform. Eagle claw forms if performed well are really impresive, but other than locking techniques and partner sets I havnt seen much sparring...I would like to see some open hand forms but I really wanta know if your nice with your hands! are you?

  • Nah. Im not that skillfull. for some reason or another my sifu always gets the best of me. Now, Your Reputation proceeds you. I've heard your combat skills in eagleclaw are unprecedented.

  • Hey Paul lee u sound like a highly experienced eagleclaw practitioner. Could u please post some vids.

    Miguel

  • this is getting silly, Paul Lee is allready in some Ying Jow Pai vids. Where r urs. These are ur words "Keep an eye for my eagleclaw forms. will post soon" That was a year ago. We're still waiting.

  • isn't the beggining some capoeira?

  • There were guest performances and capoeira was one of them. Others included ninjutsu, karate, and Systema.

  • SnakeInEaglesNest,

Post videso of your eagle claw forms please. Or, come to Fighthouse and provide us a demo.

    Paul Lee

  • SnakeInEaglesNest,

Post those videos of your eagle claw forms please. Do I know you? We work out at Fighthouse MWFSat in NYC. You can come and show us your forms in person as well.

    Paul Lee

  • oy there's some capoeira on the first 3 minutes of the video haha nice!

  • so please, give us some links!!!

  • the beginning is a real rectal pain. The Saber Girl clearly lacks of hips movements. The sword form isn't bad but sword is a subtle weapon, too subtle for the little girl though she moves quite well. The spear guy should practice more basics: his hands is too often behing his hips...hips that should move a bit more. The saber guy looked fine! The hung gar matching set and taiji san shou need a lot more body movements from the hips, feet and back...

  • ooo K. Its not my school. there's alot more weakness to there performances of the forms then just what you mentioned. I just dont like to criticise others. Keep an eye for my eagleclaw forms. will post soon

  • Well criticism can be good. I didn't mean to call them shit. It's just that sometimes I'm taken aback by kung fu demos. I mean, if those people are chosen to demo, they're supposed to be good. Either show martial spirit and speed or show technical efficacity. I'll subscribe to your vidz to see your eagle claws. If you know any good links towards good Eagle videos I'd sure like that. :)

  • I don't believe the sabre girl wearing a white sweatshirt did an Eagle Claw sabre form. I didn't recognize it and she wasn't wearing a YJP uniform either. She may have been a guest performer from a different style. For the other quibbles, they're probably details specific to the style so may differ compared to others.

  • Sometimes beginners and intermediate students are asked to demo too to gain experience and learn to deal with nerves etc... This is a New Year Party and not a promotional event.

But I'm still very curious to see SnakeInEaglesNest's eagle claw videos...

  • sometimes having your beginners perform is good. like fajing said, it's good experience. plus, it allows others to see that martial arts isn't so difficult, therefore turning them into potential students for the school.

  • SnakeInEaglesNest,

Waiting for those vids of your eagle claw forms. You sound like you are a highly trained and experienced YJP practitioner. Post those vids please.

    Paul Lee

  • What is she lke 6 years old?

  • @darth8freak

Just a different way to to strike with the spear. Not that it was my best demo ever (far from it), but we do not tell our students that the hands should remain in front of the hips when striking/stabbing with the spear. I understand why you would mention that but I do not believe there is one way to do that movement,

    (spear guy)

  • This was filmed near the end of the celebration but still had some good performances.
