They do. Some of them actually put up a decent challenge, and because of level-scaling, you'll NEVER overpower your opponents....unless you use the extra mode which will allow you access to item that can help you. However, even that is pretty difficult as said item is a random drop.

i have official firmware and i downloaded this game (free) but it wont load up the moves. every time i press the moves in my hotel room it just keep showing the loading screen and i have to exit the game. :( anyone got any ideas?

Just a less fun and slower paced version of the Yakuza series. There isn't really anything comparable on the PSP until Black Panther Yakuza comes out, though, and then you might as well not even bother with this game.

Also. Just because it has Atlus on the box doesn't mean it's good. Those days have long passed. They release some good games, but atleast 50% of the games they've released in the past few years haven't been worth picking up.

In all honesty, the reviewer doesn't look like he knows how to play very well. But atleast he likes it. :P

But yeah, a tip for anyone who plays this. You lose manliness points for using weapons during a fight. It barely mentions it in the tutorial, but if you look at the upper left corner his badass meter is low because he carries around the baseball bat all the time.

That's a little too stiff for a brawler. I like the art direction though. Hopefully they bring 4 to western shores with a little more fast paced combat. For now, I going to stick with Yakuza 3.

Mark, you're being a shabazo in the game, that sucks. Never use baseball bat or start a fight without the smash talk, that lowers your baddasitude level. I'd recommend using a wooden sword, it'll do just fine.

just from this review, this game looks week. The graphics look like a survival horror(resident evil/silent hill) psx game,fused with naruto for the psp. the fighting is just to powerful, i mean you cant send someone flying in the air with a bat. You can just find a bowl of rice of pizza out in the open and it would be eatable and safe.
