That boy's gonna get tagged if he keeps using the elapid hold on a viper. Note how his index finger is looped under the snake's jaw. Some vipers can extrude a fang and tag that finger. Let him try that with a stiletto viper!
Bullshit, joeyseph1. The Fer de Lances I have caught in Costa Rica can easily reach back and scrape you with a fang. I have caught many eyelash vipers in Costa Rica too and they will often deform their heads to try and dig a fang back at your finger and, because of how willing and able they are to deform their heads, they can easily tag you if you hold them like this guy did.

I was just implying that hork111 used the Stiletto Viper as his example, witch that snake is the only viper who's fangs are specially designed and in the front of the mouth BUT are pointed backwards witch would make it easier for the Stiletto Viper to bite him than for the Eyelash Viper.
No worries, joey...bottom line...I thnk we all agree that this fellow needs to learn how to properly hold a snake. Personally, with as much slack as he gave the snake when he first picked it up, I am surprised he didn't get nailed.
Thats a good example of how NOT to hold a viper.
