Amazing playing, wish I was that fast! One question, how do you find playing the scalloped fretboard? Is it a big adjustment from a flat board and does it make big string bends easier? Thanks and keep rocking!
Yes, but it depends of course from which amp you're using. but with these quarterpounders you get no sound a la eric clapton or srv, for example. the best thing is to listen to ritchies albums with rainbow or deep purple, the sound is exactly the same, if you know what I mean:-)
@jwhitesell68 Yes, You can Play some Heavy stuff with it also. I use an hughes&kettner switcvhblade on live shows, and it sound really dominant, compared to other guitars like ibanez or somethimg like that. The pickups are those quarterpounders by seymour duncan. they give you a really biting and sharp tone, and an awesome cleansound. And the tuners are those slottet ones indeed, I think they are called kluson.tuners. but I think of replace them, because I'm not happy with them.
@infernalhammer it sounds cool as well. I think the sound is really sharp in my opinion, a littlte bit like in the opening riff from "spotlight kid" , but really direct sounding as well!
@turboneger Hey great playing bro. Can that guitar handle Yngwie Malmsteen stuff? And overall, what's your opinion about it? Thanks. Keep rocking \m/ \m/
@ThePanteraTribute Thanks alot for your comment! I mean I'm playing some Yngwie- or Impellitteri Inspired Stuff in this vid, but I think even Yngwies sound has alot of Ritchies Tone also! Theres in my opinion no big difference between Ritchies and Yngwies tone, maybe yngwie uses more gain and delay.... Ilke this guitar alot, I mean if youre a fan of Yngwie or Blackmore, its an must have... You wont be dissapointed. trust me.
I love mine, modded it with a grey pearl guard and a 3rd QP pup... stuck in a 5 way and arranged it so #2 position is humbucking and #4 is out of phase.
These are my FAVE Strats of all time... the 7 1/2" radius with scalloped board is SO easy to play and QPs are, IMO, the ultimate single coil

@Strateuphoria Yes I tried the new one with the rosewood fretboard last year. It felt pretty cool to me, but after I tried this one right here, I suddenly fell in love... haha. but I think the "old" eric johnson model with the mable neck is great as well!
@megaossim I bought it at a local store in my hometown, it was alot cheaper, because it was standing in the showroom of the store. but I think you can get it everywhere, its a new model.

@Spaceace2001 Million Thanks Man! When You play it for the first time, its a very strange
feeling, and it truly makes the bends more easier after some practise if
you get used to it. Thats not the only scalloped strat I have, I tried it
before on an 1993 strat, which had some broken parts, and the guitar became
amazing! But I would recommend to test it before you buy a guitar like
that. Thanks for watching!
