I'd pay money to see these two recite the dialogue from "This is Spinal Tap". Beck as Nigel Tufnel and Clapton as David St. Hubbins. We're talking comedy gold here!
Sorry guy's l was all gooned-up on budweiser on thurs. 18th. l coulda sworn that Jeff did this alone without Eric. Since alot of you have e-mailed me, i stand corrected. I had the chance to meet both of them after the show and Jeff was much more alive then Eric was. Iv'e met Eric several times and this time he seemed like he was in a bad mood. I think he was down because Jeff completely out played him. Iv'e seen Jeff dozens of times, but this was clearly the best ever. lt was a great night !!!
I was at the show on the 19th. Best show I have ever been to! How did you meet them after the show? That's awesome! As for outplaying, I think their styles are so different that you really can't say Jeff outplayed Eric or vice versa. But Jeff Beck is just INSANE! To see two of the best guitarists in the history of rock and roll share the stage was a religious experience! I'm going to see Beck again at The Wellmont in June.
I was at the MSG 02/19 show as well..the best show I was ever at was the ARMS concert in 198/3 with Clapton, Beck, Page & Ron Wood, Yan Hammer, Bill Wyman & Joe Cocker. It's all on you tube..A little help from my friends and Layla are incredible..
I was at the Friday show. Clapton and Beck did this together and it was AMAZING!!! The entire show was just mind blowing! Two of the best guitarists ever!!!
They did it together on the 19th with full orchestra.........huge surprise and incredibly beautiful. LOVED IT. Thanks for the glimpse into the process.
this song was done during Jeff's set with a full orchestra, not with Eric. I guess they decided not to do it together. Jeff's set was unbelievable ! Too bad it was only 45 min. long. The Andrea Bocelli song he closed with made me cry.

Awesome video. It's great to be able to see the interaction between Eric and Jeff when the crowd isn't there.

Kind of like when Roger Daltrey sang a medley of Johnny Cash hits.
Why?
