I love the clark sisters... but they don't help push anybody out but their own family. The lady asked about up and coming artists...and all they can could think to say was J. Moss, and Kiki.... I love them both, but I KNOW their are PLENTY of artists that could have been named! I'm just sayn...

@muikologist TRUE....Well when you think about it...when you've lived a life so garnished by Gods' grace and all you've ever done was sing, you probably aren't paying attention to other artist that you didn't know growing up. They know of them but I'm sure if the sisters know about them it's because someone has brought them to their attention. So the first thing to come to mind is what you know..

@muikologist yes there are but you have to understand something...if God has given you a vision you dont stray from what God has giving you...no ifs ands or buts about it..putting there family out there is not being selfish or mean in anyway.and if they were asked to do it again im pretty sure they would name more artist.theyy were probably still dased from just winning 3 GRAMMIES after winning none for what 30 years...think about it.

I Don't think it's cool for Karen to say Aretha Is her "Idol"...for we know God is a jealous God and the commandments clearly states "Thou shalt not have any God b4 me"..and a woman in her position with many followers should be careful of what she says and how she says it. I think it would be better if she says "Aretha is her all time favorite"...therefore what she says cannot be misconstrued. As always the Clark Sister are Flawless and I love them dearly but none of us are perfect.

@RobTheInterpreter When did the meaning change. I'm quite sure Websters and Google and every other dictionary has the same meaning. Idol means God. I think you may have interpreted that wrong Mr. Interpreter. IDOL No matter who says or how they say it "IS" the same thing. And Again, When you hold the responsibility as ministers in the gospel and in music, people flock to EVERY WORD YOU SAY. That's why is imperative for them to say the RIGHT things so those that follow them are not confused.

@Ovaljean I don't know that...and don't care to know what she's always said. What I do know is what she said here. We are all entitled to our own opinions and this is mines and I'm sticking to it. When she said so affectionately and passionately at @ 2:30 "she's my idol" irregardless to what facet or venue she's in she still has to uphold the gospel for what it is. She's human just like you and I and some people forget that because of their celebrity. Stop doing that and you'll get my point.
