I had absolutely no problems with Windows Vista, I purchased a Vista ready PC it was fast, reliable and secure. Compatibility was also good, I run many programs and am a gamer and had very little issue when it came to running legacy applications or even installing drivers.

I love because someones experience with something universally means it must be like that for everyone. I've had vista for years now and I've never had a problem with it. Granted It took time getting used to the layout but other then that never had a problem. Xp used to give me problems up the ass. Then again my vista was a OEM home system builder version. Maybe that explains why my experience was different somehow.

Check NVidia's site. It depends on compatiability of the chip, and what you play on it. 3.2 GHz is good for gaming, and mostly, so is 1GB RAM. It depends on the computer itself and the programs you use on it.

NVidia has settings, right click your desktop and the NVidia Control Panel, click Help then System Information. It should tell you. Try getting to Device Manager and look for something with 'GeForce' in it, possibly to do with display

I would have expected someone with anything close to a current knowledge of PC systems diagnostics to be able to isolate that problem and deal with it realistically.

ISOLATE -- > Run on 1 monitor and check for error duplication. Check device manager driver state. What is the hex memory dump telling you (Blu Scrn Dth). WORK THE PROBLEM

I've had mostly driver issues with XP such as my laptops sound and wlan card will not work. downloaded and reinstalled the drivers for them and it still refuses to work...but it works fine in my desktop. So it really depends on what your using it on...some people just have had a worse experience with the other. I do prefer XP though because it gives me more FPS in crysis

Erm wrong. Listen to what he said. He REBOOTED into Vista and had problems. At the time he had a PC that ran Windows.

He now has a Mac Pro and runs Windows in VMware with far fewer problems than he had with this PC.

3week old comment you may have fixed by now but go to ...Start > Control Panel > Appearance and Personalization > then where it says Personalization look under that in blue writting you should see Adjust screen resolution then selected and better one for you laptop hope this may have help red
