Approach page should not be set until before descent to destination - most of that information will change before you get there! It is not necessary for preflight.

too bad My WIlco A380 Isn't working properly ( A/T ) i was gonna use it to fly from EDDF to TBPB ( Frankfurt / main --> Barbados Trinindad. ) :(.. gonna use the 747-400 instead then..

Thankyou very much for this video...I have the wilco A380....i followed all the instructions in this video but i still have a problem.....after taking off and when i select auto pilot the aircraft turns around and aligns with the localizers of the airport i took off from rather than following the flight plan rout...what can i do to correct this

I'm a PMDG 737/747 and converted and loving it MD-11 pilot. I want to master the airbus now :). I watched your video and it helped a lot thanks I get it all now I'm just unfamiliar with all the airbus terms so I didn't know what to put into the takeoff page :L..

Thanks for this clip, it was very well made, however i have a the same problem like @griddindorhouse 122, i cant get to the weight pages, and my airplane starts to dive when i turn on the Autopilot. Got any ideas? Thanks !

is there any way to set your restriction speeds? like 180 below 2000ft and 240 below FL100 ? and what does "2/up3" for flap settings mean? And what should we put in on a different flap setting? Im sorry but im coimpletely new to Airbus :)

@skydive911 You can set speed and altitude constraints in the LEGS page by using the RSK next to the weaypoint you wish to set constraints for.

As for the flap settings 2/UP3 translates for Flaps 2 / Elevator Trim +3. This obviously varies in situations and a useful tool for calculating this as well as FLEX references can be found here

Hey, nice vid. When youre flying with the wilco, are you using FSX ATC or are you just flying with FMC? If youre just using the FMC do you have to descend manually or is your FMC controling the descent? And when do I hit activate aproach?! thx

@coldandfrostymorning I use FS9 and yes I use the FS9 ATC, the descent clearance isnt far off the FMGC planned descent in my experience. As for activating approaching face, it is indicated by a D inside a circle on the Navigation Display and will activate automatically (or manually if you deviate from the planned arrival routeing)

great and easy! it all worked, but however when you were about to enter the wieght by clicking next page. it didnt go to a next page. is there a differant wy i could enter that? thanks

@gryffindorhouse122 once you have aligned IRS then by clicking NEXT PAGE it should take you through to the weights page. If it isnt then not sure why.
