I think the reason that's not a penalty is because if a goalie is that far out of the crease and not playing the puck he's fair game. Not too sure, though. It still wasn't a good decision on Turco's part, penalty or not.
If the goalie is trying to play the puck I don't think he should get hit, but if he's out doing something like that, I'd knock him ass over tea-kettle. Turco does stuff like that a lot and it seems to work out most of the time for the Stars. He's a great stick handler.

No doubt that should have been a charging penalty on Turco. If it was Selanne checking Turco into the boards as Turco was playing the puck, Selanne would more likely than not have been called for something. He didn't even attempt to go for the puck there... not sure what the refs were thinking on this one..

If the goalie is trying to play the puck I don't think he should get hit, but if he's out doing something like that, I'd knock him ass over tea-kettle. Turco does stuff like that a lot and it seems to work out most of the time for the Stars. He's a great stick handler.

See rule 27.7 of the NHL rules.
the goalie may not play over the center ice line. but on his own side of the ice he may. Also, I'm not saying this is normal, and there is an unwritten rule that goalies shouldn't do this, but he can.

marty turco wants to score in his career and thats why he handles the puck better that dion phanuef and ovechkin he never ment to hit him he wanted the puck and the nhl owner said turks is the best and smartest goalies in the league and they had loungo at last place because he tries to copy turco but he sucks at handling the puck and he doesnt read the plays as much as turco does and marty turco was named the best goalie in the nhl.

No doubt that should have been a charging penalty on Turco. If it was Selanne checking Turco into the boards as Turco was playing the puck, Selanne would more likely than not have been called for something. He didn't even attempt to go for the puck there... not sure what the refs were thinking on this one..

you're not allowed to touch a goalie, even less bodycheck him. I think it's fucked up. If the goalie goes behind the net you should be allowed to check him. But note, SHOULD. it's against the rules nowadays.

Sorry man, your wrong. It is absolutely not against the rules in the nhl to deliver a clean bodycheck on a goalie who is out of his crease to play the puck. Show me the rule that says it is. I know this because only a few days ago I watched hordichuk bodycheck turco and the announcers made it very clear that it was legal to do that, but hordichuk got a charging penalty because he left his feet. Bodychecking a goalie is NOT illegal!!

That was the worse series in Hockey I had ever seen. Anaheim had the worst calls agaisnt them and Dallas is known for this. The famous 1999 NO GOAL right? Look it up for you kids who don't know anything about Hockey.
